I’m topping my girls soon and need to know about which node I should top them at? They have about three now…

I top mine at the 6th node fir 10 main limbs but most people top there’s at the 4th node. I cut the ears and bottom set of limbs off … let them grow until she has around 7 nodes then top at the 4th or grow until she has 9 nodes then too at 6th… example

I don’t count the 1st set of leaves, 2nd growth point is #1. Cruise around the forum for techniques you like. I like a manifold or quadline. @anon1893985 showed a great pic of training that helps with air, light and yield

Did you try hlg for a refurbished light. I just bought a hlg 200 Diablo for $125 from them
I’m caretaker for my girl who is completely bed bound for like the last 8 months, and my son is here. I’m the only one working so, I’m glad to have the little setup I have. Maybe someday I’ll have the funds for something like that. But thank you tho:metal:

I’m freaking out! Is this little curling the leaves doing from having my light too close? I had it at 16 inches and just moved up to two feet. Any suggestions?

Give me the run down on the medium, lighting, watering and nutrients if using any and how long since they broke ground
They broke ground the 26th of last month. I’m using fox farm ocean forest. Lights are 18/6. No nutrients yet. Light was 16 inches, I have it at 24 now

Plenty of training options, auto or photo period? If autos I would top 1 time if their photos then they time is on your side with you controlling how to long to veg these leaving more time for additional toppings. I would suggest the easiest method besides LST. Grow them to the 5th node and top above the 4th, leave # 3 and remove all growth below. 1 topping and done then it’s a matter of plant maintenance using LST
