HELP Tips and edges turning brown - Blue Dream (fem)

What could be doing this and how to fix it? they are in the second week of flowering and I noticed brown tips and edges after switching to 12/12 and giving them nutes but only 50% of the recommended dosage. They are in 5 Gal smart pots In FFOF Soil, I water with Distilled water but I always add Calmag. Tips are also pointing down. Thanks for the help

Iā€™m a new grower but had this in the early veggie stage. Looks like some nute burn. Iā€™m sure @PurpNGold74 will know more. My advice try to use a pic with the LED off for better assistance with these gurus lol. Maybe your soil and the nutes combined caused your soil to be ā€œhotā€. Maybe flush (3gal water: 1gal pot) and then try 1/4 the nutes. They will also want details as far as what nutes, run off measures, when first planted, auto/photo, etc. Best of luck and big yielding

During veg I didnā€™t really have any problems. After switching to 12/12 I did my normal watering but added nutes thatā€™s for flowering but from the fox farm feeding schedule I added grow big which has lots of nitrogen in it so Iā€™m thinking I should only stick to the bloom nutes during flowering.

If all of your foliage is dark green in color and judging by the ā€˜clawingā€™ of the leaves, thereā€™s a good chance that itā€™s a nitrogen toxicity. But color is hard to determine under the LEDā€™s.

They will still require some nitrogen during flower but your flower nutes should have enoughto cover it. Cutting out the Grow Big night be a good idea.

Hi, I have had plants that i mismanaged that looked great in veg and took a severe turn for the worse in flowering. You most likely have to get your pH and ppm maintenance under control. Please fill out this support ticket. It helps us assess what the next steps are, along with natural light pics

Thanks for the tag bro. Im decent n getting better but far from guru.

Everyone above is leading u right. Firstly a normal lighting color pic would help loads and that aforementioned support ticket would be super helpful.

First glance looks like nitrogen toxicity as mentiond. But no mention of pH or PPMā€¦

heres images without the led on

Dark lush green leaves (sometimes genetic) discolored tips? Clawing leaf tips?

Defo N toxicity. Since u just starting to flower a solid flush, then properly pHā€™d (6.3-6.7 in soil) feed is a solid fix.

OK and to flush I can just use the distilled water? How much water do I use when I flush? Thanks, Iā€™ve searched around but still a little lost.

Id rather u used tap water. Distilled will get expensive and its tds is so low it takes even more. U wanna run 3x the capacity: so of 3 gall pots, the 9 gallons of water. Is 5 gall pots then 15 galls of water.

OK but wouldnā€™t all that water drown the plants?

Nope. A good timely flush is a good thing. Just dont do it weekly. Most nutrient schedules call for periodic flushesā€¦ like between transition from veg to flower due to the change from N dependant to PK dependant.

@PurpNGold74 is correct in his opinionā€¦ I would also add that there is a ph problem going on here as wellā€¦
I am 3 week into flower with only a ppm of 550 last time I checked and ph was at 3 or lower and Iā€™m seeing the same issues and Iā€™m in rdwcā€¦ so what Iā€™m going to do is empty everything out add freash water with 0 ppm and a ph of 6 and let that ride for 24 hours and then recheck ppm and ph and if everything seems in order I will be adding my nutrients for 3rd week of floweringā€¦
We shall see what happensā€¦
