we need to go away for about a week and our plants are in week 4 of flower. does anyone have an idea on a system we can set up to water? I thought about using some sort of wicking method
Search autopot systems to find what you need.
Start at this post, and read about how @AfgVet went about it.
The Blumats have a good reputation. Just to disclaimer, I have zero experience with them
Are use watering carrots
How long are you going to be away if it’s just a week just water them fully then fill their bottom pan with water and they’ll be fine if it’s longer you may need to set up a autopot system
5-6 days. I ordered an automatic water system. Going to try it out before we leave
@hippy4life I just soak them . And i mean soak. Turn lights down a touch. Fans 1 down. Then We bolt. 1 7 day and an 8 day this year. Worry more about power outage than water. This was with some in each stage. No issues even with my thirsty gg4.
@Joshmcginnis28 made a pretty okay one wasn’t too costly also was a rez and a pump with feed lines set on a times to pump so much for so long to keep the coco wet he was gone a week I believe. I believe it was a success and he barely tried it out before he left from memory. Was a setup try real quick and bounce if I remember correct lol. @AfgVet just set up a system almost same for her weekly trip. Give them a look see might be helpful for ya. Good luck
Haha you remember correctly. Parts came in. Put it together. Turned on to make sure pumped. Set an estimate on the timer. And out the door I went . Worked real well. Was primitive but got the job done. If was a long term setup , would add shut offs to each plant.
Bought a timer and figuring out a schedule
