Help- Leaves on lower buds drying and curling up

This is a Northern Lights auto at day 93 of flowering. She’s nearly ready, and I have already harvested a few colas - just waiting for the others to develop more amber trichomes. Here’s a photo of the plant:

But a few days ago, the leaves on all the lower (and less mature) buds started drying out and the sides curling up.

In the upper buds , the remaining leaves are not curling, but they are already quite dry and brittle. This looks normal for an advanced plant, IMO.

So what’s wrong with the lower buds? I was hoping that they would continue to mature, and I would harvest them a bit later.

The temps in the tent are high 60s in day, high 50s at night, and RH about 40-45

End of life Grow Bro, she’s consuming herself. At 93 days of flower I would say it’s a few weeks past the harvest window. Are you checking the trichomes with a loop or mag glass :love_you_gesture:

Yes, I check the trichomes every day with a good microscope. They are still less than 5% amber on most of the buds. As I said above, I’ve harvested a few of the colas that showed about 10 to 20% Amber, but I’m waiting for the rest to mature.

In the past, when I complain about how long it takes to get Amber Trichomes everyone says patience, patience! So I’ve tried to be very patient this grow!

I would consider a partial harvest and let the lower fruit ripen another week or so :love_you_gesture:

Yeah, sounds like a good idea.

I do this often when I want to maximize yield and not have larf or popcorn nugs. She’s a thick beauty by the way :fire::fire::love_you_gesture:

Will the lower buds continue to mature, even though the leaves are all dry and curling up?

Maybe im incorrect but 40-45% RH seems on the lower side and would certainly contribute to an excessive dry. I’d watch your dry/cure closely just so you dont get too dry. A good bud wash will introduce some moisture back to the plant post harvest as well. Looks great though.
