You can get a TDS meter on Amazon for like $15-$30. Get one it will help you and others understand whats in your soil. If you get one I have no problem at all explaining how to use it once you have it and helping you with the numbers.
Sorry I am a new grower myself and I am only familiar with Jack’s 321. Let me tag @Graysin, he may be able to help you with those nutes. If not I’m sure he knows someone who can.
That usually means 10 weeks from flower to harvest. “10 week flower time”
It will certainly help. Since you’re flowering, more of the 0-6-5 mix and less of anything that has a number higher than 3 on the front number is best.
You’re looking at a “N-P-K” ratio with those numbers and they will be listed in the same order regardless of nute supplier.
So you will have
Nitrogen — Phosphorus — Potassium (K)
Listed in that order every time.
They operate in ratios.
Think of it this way - your plant wanted something like
3 parts N, 1 part P, 1 part K throughout her life up til now
Now that she’s in early flower, she will benefit from a
1 part N, 3 parts P, 2-3 parts K
Once she hits full blown flower (sugary sticky buds forming), she’ll want
0 parts N, 3 parts P, 3 parts K.
You can check out your nute labels and report back the numbers on what you’ve been using and have available. We can steer you right once we know what you’re working with.
yeah Graysin been helping me with all of it thanks guys both of you @ReelOfishalTrees I’ll take you up on that lesson coming up here, soon. Checking on line now…
ok, ReelO’ I am getting my TDS meter in the mail today and my plants are hungry/thirsty (3 days since last water) and the new 10 gallons of water has been sitting out in the sun for a day and half to burn off Chlorine… what’s first? I have cal mag (1-0-0), I have ph up and down and I have a ph pen and two different fetrilizers general hydroponics flora nova bloom (4-8-7) and BLOOM by cuting edge (0-6-5) I also have a sample of “FISH SHIT” the guy at the store gave me and a 2.5 gallons worth sample of “RECHARGE” the guy at the store gave me.
SO, I’m taking you up on the offer. I open that package, calibrate it and ____? next step? Thank you sir. @ReelOfishalTrees
(SIDE NOTE ; I tossed an earthworm in each of the 5 gallons of dirt before I planted the germinated seeds into them - anyone think that the worm ate all the phosphorous? LOL)
First is this. Open the meters and calibrate if they don’t come pre-calibrated.
I’d personally do this - add the Flora Nova Bloom (maybe 1/2 strength dose). Then add the BLOOM.
Stir well. Check your PPMs. I’d be aiming for 1200-1500 for the maturity your plants are at. If good, move on to the next step. If too low, add more nutrients (I’d do a touch more of each but in equal proportion) until you’re at 1200ish PPMs.
Check your PH. If it’s too high, add PH down, if too low, add PH up.
Stir well again. Repeat until PH is where you want it (6.5 for soil, 5.8 for hydro and coco).
Once satisfied with PH, add a full strength dose of either the Recharge or the Fish Sh!t. Pick one, you don’t need both.
ok took about 1.25 full dose of both to get the PPM close to 1200 PPM, Ph’d to 6.5x about 120mmL Bloom and about 40 Flora nova Bloom and a full dose of fish shit.
Measured runoff PPM
Eenie - didn’t overflow
Meanie lots of runoff 1722 PPM
Miney moderate runoff 1825 PPM
Moe Moderate runoff 2896 Runoff - interesting this one is a different phenotype and younger development age
so I followed Graysin’s method exactly I will wait to see if Eenie will run a little bit off.
I don’t have any more prepared today so that’s about all.
Hey I’m so sorry! I had alot of stuff to do around the house and yard to get ready for winter. I’m just now getting to my phone. I see @Graysin took very good care of you! Numbers don’t look bad at all. That one is alittle high though.
Shame on you for not just sitting around to help me shame shame shame. LOL Just kidding I got impatient and wasn’t going to wait until tomorrow. One of my plants was just to the point of being slightly droopy tomorrow would have been sagging. Anyways. You agree with that as far as how I proceeded?
I appreciate everyone’s help.
On a side note, no matter how I try to mess them up, they are now getting REALLY sticky and REALLY stinky.
Yeah I agree with everything. Maybe skip nutes on the 2800ppm one next watering. See tds meter is not scary at all. Such an essential tool and for how cheap they cost its definitely a must have for diagnostics. The meter is very simple to use. You could also do a soil slurry test on that high ppm one to see how close it really is to your run off numbers. Did you check the ph when you did ppms on run off? If you want to know how to do a soil slurry test let me know.
So, interesting… Here’s the phenodif plant, the top cola and the whole plant. if you look at the bottom of the whole plant picture you can easily see the other ones with the slight leaf disease/deficiency and this one is WAY worse with that.
they are all supposed to be Bruce Banner Auto’s from ILGM but that one has been different since the beginning. The nutrient needs must be a lot different. I think it’s pretty cool, and if I didn’t have 3 kickers I’d be freaked out if they were all like this but since I am positive I’m going to have some good bud to enjoy I’m just taking it in. i was hoping it would be male and I could harvest some Bruce sperm for later use, but alas… just another beyotcch. I also quick dried and toked a little stinker and wow. this is going to be some strong ganj
