@Hellraiser I’m with CitrusCircus, why don’t you use them on curing if they keep the humid perfect?
Yea I think when I get home I’m gonna flush them and then give them a good feeding with the right amount of nutes and see if that helps any. I appreciate all the help brother I’ll be keeping in touch to let everyone know how it’s going
@Hellraiser following a lot of your advice was obviously a good idea! I remember you posted a picture just like this one! About 2 weeks still at least left until I can try it, but super sticky for sure!
I like your question did you get it answered.
I thought it would help keep them at the right humidity once cured
Not yet. I’ve heard it’s ok for curing after the initial drying from a few sources but I don’t know what @hellraiser 's reasoning is.
Woukd be good to know what he thinks.
I got them in my curing jars
Check this out. It seems some people are saying it changes the bud quality.
Thats interesting maybe ill take them out then
had to put my backup timer into use as one of the bnlink timers battery malfunctioned. If it lost power the whole thing would reset and not keep settings. Well the backup is a bnlink dual timer. i got it set up ok. but I didnt notice the “random security function” which postpones the device turning on 2-32 minutes after the set time at random times. luckily i noticed at about 5 minutes after lights on this morning and fixed it.
I’m not familiar with coco growing at all, but I would flush with just pH water, then wait until your next watering to resume nutrients, which I would start at 1/4 the recommended dose from AN and then you can read the plant response and increase slowly.
I feel as though over doing things with these plants is worse than not doing enough, and nowhere is this more evident than with nutes.
Please someone more experienced correct me if I’m wrong.
Thanks for all the info you’ve shared here Hellraiser. Very helpful.
In my opinion, it is not needed and interferes with the slow dry/curing process. In the slow dry/cure. I want the moisture pulled out of the inner buds and redistributed evenly thru the buds, harder to do with something in the jar that’s providing humidity on demand. And the hygrometer (in the jar) won’t give an accurate picture of the humidity in the buds with a humidification device in there constantly altering the humidity.
I regulate the humidity and make it perfect for curing/storage, don’t need any device to help (or hinder) with that.
Also for long term storage, using boveda packs will change the smell, taste, texture, and color of the bud (makes it darker and heavier).
Nope, no carbon filter or fan on intake. Yes, negative pressure sucks in all the air you need from available sources as long as there is a way for air to get in.
That makes alot of sense now that you mention it. You can’t tell if the buds are still giving up moisture to the air if it’s constantly being absorbed by the boveda pack and never causes a change in the humidity.
Long term storage sealed up in mason jars, they don’t lose humidity until opened. Aged by keeping sealed and not open, I just opened a jar last night that was sealed in June of 2019, was wonderful. I also keep some jars in the freezer for long term storage, they stay very fresh in there.
Well that makes a lot of sense!! YOU ARE THE MAN!!!
Yes, was planning on creating some more fem seeds in the near future, will document it with its own thread.
LOL, yes ran into that random security function as well with one of my bnlink timers.
Nice sticky bud, love it.
Thank you sir. So only a screen filter that stops insects from going in and that’s it. Noted
