Hellraiser grows Gorilla Glue and other stuff

Looks like just a bit of leaf tip burn, from a little too much tiger bloom, it’s telling you to back off a little on the bloom ferts, she looks good otherwise, no biggie.

Just ordered Zkittlez and Banana Kush fem seeds from ILGM, will grow one of those strains after the Blue Dream girls move to the flowering tent.

I feel WAY better now, thanks. I was planning next watering to go only water with molasses, maybe the watering after that as well? I wonder if adding mykos to the water would help at this point

I’d go with the water and molasses for next watering, after that you can just do a weaker bloom feeding, don’t want to make them too hungry either at this point of bud growing. Don’t think the mykos would really help the situation as they help your plants take up even more nutrients. We all get a little tip burn from pushing the nutes in hope of bigger buds, just ease back a little bit on the tiger bloom and you’ll be fine.

Ever have one of those mornings?

It’s watering day for the flowering tent. I wake up, start up the coffee pot then mix my nutes. After mixing nutes, I say lets check the ppm of the nute mix for the hell of it (shouldn’t have), so I do and the readout says 1850. WTF??? That’s like double what it should be, did I somehow add twice the amount of all ingredients? I think not, is the damn PPM meter broke? I turn it off, back on, check again and it’s saying 1850 again, at least it’s consistent.

I decide to go drink a cup of coffee and ponder the situation. I could pour half of it out and add more RO water and that will bring it down to the 925 it should be. But I’m thinking there is no way I doubled the amounts. So I start thinking, what could make the reading twice what it should be? Finally dawned on me, DUH!!! the ppm meter was set to EC instead of PPM where I usually have it and EC is exactly twice the value of (hannah 500 scale) PPM. Go back to the meter, turn it on and notice the little EC in the corner, hit the shift button and it changes to PPM, test the nute mix and it’s at 925, exactly where it should be. All this for nothing, why the hell did I want to check PPM???

Grew some Zkittlez outdoor last year, seriously sticky juicy buds, like dripping… :wink:

That’s why I don’t check mine at all. Unless they are looking bad.

Too many growers in the house. I always go with PPM and never EC but my daughter has a couple plants she started up and she likes to go by EC.

Niceeee, I had no idea what I was going to do once the plants started to hit the lights. Because my ropes are pulled as high as they can go. Now I know. :+1:t4:

Yep, there was no reason to check.

@Hellraiser
Hey man, do you think it’s too late to chop off some of these lower sucker branches? They aren’t getting any light but I’m afraid it might be too late since I’m Week 4 of Flower ?

I want to cut off those lower left ones and that plant ^

And is it too late to trim so lower branches in the front and bottom of this first plant?

Not too late, great time for getting rid of the sucker branches and trimming them up some, the sooner the better.

@Hellraiser
Oh really?! Awesome, for some reason I thought I read you said you don’t like to do heavy trimming after week 4 of flower but I might have been mistaken. So then I can cut off a good chunk of the plants and they’ll still be okay? Would you mind circling some branches I could for sure remove?

And then would you say I have a lot of trimming to do as well? Looks pretty crowded in there huh

I was thinking about get the blue labs truncheon. what do you think of that device? or just stick with the chepos?

hahaha happened to me before buddy except I was actually reading the ppm for the run off and it was super high ofcourse which led me to flushing :joy: more annoying than your situation. Only noticed it was on EC after i flushed and all that. SUPER annoying. I always learn the hard way haha

As far as I’m concerned you haven’t lived until you have prepped your water with nutrients, pH correctly, and then have a terrible PPM reading right before you are about to feed your plants necessitating a water dump and restart.

Mixed 4 gallons x2 up last Saturday morning only to realize I had added about a 1/4 of the nutes needed because I forgot to multiply… I GUESS I GOT CONFUSED
