@Hellraiser First and foremost… THANK YOU! Such detailed and informative information… honestly… should be published!! I’m thinking of switching to advanced nutrients. When would be an ideal time? I’m about to switch my current into flowering… im a little scared to try new with the more important time about to happen. Guess I’m just asking if I should start with a new batch. Currently using excelurator gold, general hydroponics grow 7-4-10, floralicious plus, protekt silicon, calmag, recharge and gh floranova bloom 4-8-7. Using ff bush doctor coc loco for medium. Thank you!!
Happy Growing!!
You are very welcome, You could switch to AN for the flowering stage if you wanted to. The only issue to be concerned with is pH. You are probably ph adjusting now, if switching to AN mid-grow, may want to keep adjusting ph to what you’re plants are used to, to avoid a ph swing which may not even be an issue if the ph’s are close enough. Nice thing about AN, works great whether you ph it or not.
Hey @Hellraiser. Did you bump your temps up when you went to the leds? If so… what to? Do you drop them in the final weeks before harvest? Thanks in advance!
Happy Growing!!
Of course, they were in veg. for between 82 and 86 days. I had a myriad of issues throughout the grow that really slowed everything down and god knows how long I was overwatering them for.
On my second grow, I think I’ll try to have veg. done in 8 weeks, 10 max. Every time I was about to switch to flower something would go wrong and they just didn’t look healthy, so it really extended the phase for me.
Major time commitment band those trunks show it. Should be rewarded with major production.
Haha yeah it’s kind of been a great first grow because I have experienced every possible issue along the way so far. Big time commitment but it has been really enjoyable and educational, except for some frustrating times when I couldn’t figure out what was wrong and felt like just throwing in the towel.
They stretched a ton because I had them by the window sill for the first 3 weeks of their lives, but I was always blasting them with air and they developed massive, strong trunks like you said. They look like little trees now.
Hoping for a pound!
My temps really have not changed, I’ve always been at 77-79F. I just move less air to stay there with the leds. I don’t change temps before harvest, stay at 77-79 all the way thru.
Do you get any lower at night? Its supposed to help with terps/ colors? Sorry… just trying to get my approach together. Picking up the conni line tomorrow!
Happy Growing!!
Sir, my rH average for the first week of flower was 54.5% with a high of 64.7%. I ran the t6 on 8/10 the whole time, so I may try to bump it up to 10/10 to see what kind of difference that makes, but would you be looking into a dehumidifier if you were me?
Temps get down to 65/67F at night, since running AC most of the night. I always get great harvest colors.
You’re right on the edge of needing one, could get by without one probably as long as you keep moving lots of air but would be nice to have to bring RH down for the last few weeks of flowering at least or extra humid days that pop up. Like now, monsoon season here, the only time I ever think about getting a dehumidifier.
I fear it will only get worse as they grow too. It’s 29% humidity outside in so cal right now. Clearly I have no understanding of humidity lol
@Hellraiser do you know a good way to get some extra height out of your lights once the rope hangers run out of slack?
I would run the cables back through the carabiner a couple times. Thats what I am going to have to do. I am all the way up in mine right now.
Check out my grow journal. There’s a great example of getting the height you need with ratchet ropes around post 33.
Your the post I seen this on but I couldn’t remember who it was. Thanks my brother👍 I’ve only been in flower a little under a week and they are growing insanely Fast right now so I’m trying to get a jump on the light issue I might have
I put the clip from the ratchet rope straight into the fixtures. Not sure if the wholes on your fixtures are large enough… great if they are.
Happy Growing!!
And I’d venture to say… if the wholes on your fixture aren’t large enough. Short s hook will bridge the gap.
Happy Growing!!
I remove any hanging wires the light comes with and just use the ratchet hangers directly to the light if I need more height, which I did in my flowering tent.
@Hellraiser how’s it going, I’m a big fan of what you grow and certainly what you know. I was wondering if I could get your thoughts on my unconventional grow ( to say the least)? I’ve got yellowing on the tips that’s getting progressively worse it seems. My journal is called “My new favorite hobby ( I hope)” I’ve got pictures I just took this morning, if you wouldn’t mind taking a look and giving me your feedback I would really appreciate it:+1:![]()
I know you get a lot of the same requests so whenever you get a chance is cool with me. Thank you in advance
