Have a plant with 9 leaf fronds and seems to be reluctant to flower

20 days agoI changed from 18/6 with 1000w mh at 6000k to 12/12 1000w HPS at 2000k. Have seen no indication of flowering.

The plant has 9 leaf fronds which I have never seen before. Is this common?

Could this be a male plant. Or am I impatient?

Thanks, Harry

Can you post pics of the nodes of the plant? The plant should definitely be putting up pistils at 20 days.

Hard to tell from this pic.

I think female but others will chime in.

Look at the node points on your main stalk if you see this its a bro. Love the 9 finger.

Thanks.

The plant has no balls.

Thanks. We shall see…

Therefore, there is a 50/50 chance that it considers itself a female.

No it either is or isnt, the idea that the plant can choose is just sillyness. You can stress it into hemaphratism but that would be your choice not the plants. It isnt old enough to show you anything you can see yet. With regular non fem seeds the percentage male vs female is very high. Like 8 out of 10 seeds will be male.

Is it a photoperiod plant or a auto

Its a female it should start to flower

You do know that I was joking? My comment was about what is going on in defining gender these days.

Thanks for your input. Next feeing, maybe tomorrow, I will add some Bud Igniter and see if I can push it a bit.

Some just take abit to get going but be patient and it will flower soon it still has to go through the stretch yet

Me too, I waz using subtle metaphors. Too subtle I spose.

You do I know that a plant (photo) will not flower no matter what light schedule you put her on until she reaches maturity… so until she does it’s no use trying to force the situation… just my opinion… good luck … :muscle:

Thanks…I am just trying to deal with a plsnt that is acting differently. Some? But not a lot of experience here.

Do you suggest that I not add the bud igniter?

It’s your plant so you can do what you want but i was only passing along some vital information to you… best of luck

I appreciate your input. Fact is that the labels on my starter pots got wet and fell off. I was not successful in replacing them properly(or maybe I was). There were both chromo and auto….so I am not really sure what they are.

It would probably be best to wait a bit longer and see what happens. The 2 other plants flowered a while ago.

Thanks again for your input.

Harry

Here is a picture of a node.

Cant say she is female which is bad, but cant say she is male either…which is good. Patience will be the best course of action. Fortunately male or female, cannabis loves to show its junk
