doesn’t that get wax in the hash?
Thats a good amount of product there.
I was just to tired after spending the last couple days on my feet on concrete setting the grow back up to go buy buckets. My arthritic knees are killing me. Maybe tomorrow.
Yeah once all the drying and stuff is done, Ill give the grow room a good swabbing and grow some hydro lettuce in there for a while. Lettuce is 7 dollars for 3 hearts in a plastic bag here! Almost more expensive than pot!
Not at all.
for lettuce! thats crazy
Yeah
exactly
I did this on Saturday as well, just got too busy to post about it.
Started with a nice amount of kief that was collected from my trim bins
Wrapped it upped in parchment paper and went for a quick walk. Was very cold outside so the kief did not get warm enough for my liking. So decided to take it a step further and use the ol “wine bottle filled with hot water used as a rolling pin” trick and gave it about 10 minutes of slowly rolling back and forth over the kief bundle.
Now it’s looking more like what I want:
A quick and easy way to make 5 grams of hash, already smoked a small chunk from it and it was very nice, rich flavor of my Cherry Ice Cream with a touch of Gorilla Glue.
Good stuff!
Looks great, sometime we arrive at where we wanted to be by the strangest means

My lettuce grows like a bad weed here. Faster than I can eat it
Thats what you want! Maybe groe some spinach? Chard? All like the same amount of light and grow in a similar way! We usually do lettuce, spinach, tomatoes and some peppers hydroponically indoors over winter. Im finding that peppers are not a great return, tomatoes arebon the edge of cost effective.
Oh and @Greybeard61 welcome to the forum! And if you notice how I summoned you @Greybeard61 you can do that to whomever you like ![]()
It’s like panning for gold! And this was from a zip lock in the freezer that was the least trichome covered of the lot!
LOL Yes, very much like panning for gold.
I use a pressure sprayer to wash down the sides of the bag and to work the kief into the center of the mesh net for easier collection, a nice tool to help the process:
I neglected to get parchment paper. What’s the best way to dry this? The only stuff that we’re worth keeping was the 25bottom and 76? Bag.top
This looks pretty good for a small bag of trimmings and larf from a plant I harvested a month early. Lil crispy.
Third wash sucked. I ran out of ice. Next time I’ll be set up proper. Now that I got the fundamentals and the process down
I separate it into much smaller pieces (almost like powder) using a couple toothpicks - more surface area makes for quicker drying, then dry it in the freezer for 3 or 4 days on parchment paper, some say cardboard is the way to go as it absorbs the water from the wet kief nicely but it really likes to stick to cardboard and you will lose a little bit of kief to the cardboard. After drying I clump back together and do my warm wine bottle rolling thing with parchment paper for a few minutes to get it into more of a hash block (optional), then store airtight in small mason jar.
Gotcha. Thanks. I’ll have to get some parchment and figure out how to keep it safe in the freezer. My wife no joke came in while I was making cannabutter last night and just picked up a bowl while it was separating nearly spilling the entire 16oz of freshly made butter on the floor. So little bits of hash in the freezer don’t stand a chance.
Yeah I have my own freezer in the garage with a lock, it would not survive in the family freezer.
i just busted it up and put it on a plate and stuck it in the empty 2x2 for now with the door half open. . The rh down here in the garage is below 50 with temps at 70-75 If i run the heater. . it should dry out eventually ya think?
Sure, probably be dry in a few days.
I’m going to turn my bubble hash into that good goe once I get home slam. A bottle of wine and fill it with hot water lol
