Harvesting Autos

I was wondering if anyone has taken the top buds off to let the bottom fill in? The main reason I ask this is because I got two plants that are 9 days behind. Thanks in advance.

Yeah I have and others as well it’s good with the buds that are close to the light get some first then can let the bottom finish properly.

Hey @Ronbowe63 I’d take them at dusk so your plant has a better time to adjust overnight.

Happy growing

Done this a few times to let the lower buds get to that 20% amber. This was a Skittlez run and the one up front had the top buds harvested and these were left for roughly 7 more days. Came out great :love_you_gesture:

Thanks I will do right before lights out. I’ll post some pics tonight. Not hoping for a lot as this plant is very short, but the amber Trics a come slowly on these BB. Granted I made lots of mistakes being my first auto, but the buds look really good.

Not worth it imo. The shock to the plant makes the lowers stop growing anyway and they take forever to recover and finish. Try it though

Here’s BB#2.

Nice and fat :muscle:. Those lower buds will ripen contrary to an earlier statement. Many more experienced cultivators than myself on here do it as well. 2 partial harvest of mature bud is better than 1 harvest with 1/2 mature and immature larf :love_you_gesture:

Larf is for making edibles or hash or other concentrate that’s what most people do with it

I decided to pull them; put all light to the last two. Won’t be another grow till fall. Can do it but way too hot. Don’t think I want to do outdoors as they busted someone recently. I should have a taller tent by then. Thinking I might do some flowering under the 400 watt HPS. I find it odd that you have to keep LED lights Further away. Anyway thanks for all the help. Stay safe.
