Thanks bro, do you think that’s why she looks so sad?
DLI was 21 @Newt
I wouldn’t say she looks sad. She might look a tad over watered, if I had to hazard a guess. That said, turning up the DLI will cause more water as well as nutrient consumption. Remember it’s all a balancing act. I think of my grow as sitting on a three legged stool, with those legs made up of:
- Light
- Environment (temp, humidity, air exchange rate, airflow, etc.)
- Nutrient uptake (to include watering)
If any leg of the stool is weak, the whole grow is affected somehow.
I don’t see anything with her to worry about. Just give her some more light, and make sure to feed/water when the soil has completely dried, and she’ll be great!
I have been watering her every day tbh, as I thought she looked under watered but I may have mistaken under for over and carried on watering
Just watered her again today, so do you suggest I lower the plant back to 23 DLI until she dries out then raise her again? Or just leave as is now I’ve raised her? Temp is 25/26C RH stays around 55/60 atm
No. Leave the DLI up around 40-45. She’ll drink up the water. Wait till the pot feels light before you water/feed again.
Perfect thank you bro🙏🏻
@Newt sorry I forgot to ask, when using this Photone app, I am supposed to put a piece of printer paper over the camera when doing the readings right? I did read that somewhere correctly?
Definitely bro. She’s ready for some serious light. Go up to 40 and increase 5 dli each week until you get to 50, see how she reacts for a few days, then add 5 more. ![]()
You using iphone? If so you need the paper diffuser
I have iPhone yes, what’s a paper diffuser? ![]()
Thanks bro I’ll have a watch, what do you think of these now? The bigger one forbidden runtZ I a little worried about. For the most part I think they look okay like colour wise etc @The_Chef
This is my correct DLI now for tallest and shortest flowering autos
Which makes me feel a little better, hopefully the sad look on forbidden runtz is over watering and nothing too serious, ended up ordering some more flowering stuff anyways, so hopefully start seeing some more changes in her by next week ![]()
I think your plants look great brother. To combat over watering I know a lot of folks use the “lift the pot method”. When the pot is dry it’s lighter so you get the feel of the weight of dry vs wet.
What I did to make sure that I wasn’t over watering is let the plant tell me when to water. I’d let them dry until the plant looked wilty and slumped over and document those days and hours until she looked like that and back it off 12 hours. Now I knew an exact time when to water.
That changes during the growth stages as they consume more in flower. In veg i had it feed/water, dry , dry , dry, feed/water.
During flower I had to shorten it by 1 day.
Feed/water, dry , dry, feed/water.
Always 20% runoff when feeding/watering.
Yes, if you have an iPhone, no if you have an Android. The iPhone uses the front carema as a light sensor, the Android has a separate light sensor.
Are you running 20/4? That’s what the phone is set to read.
Yes bro 20/4, so I set the hours on the app to 20 hours is that right?
Thanks bro! I did feel the pot, and it did feel quite light, but tbh I can’t remember what it felt like before I watered the first time
so maybe what I felt it wasn’t light enough? I’ll leave it couple days now instead of end of every day
hopefully my flowering stuff be here by then
Oh yeah. Go girl.
Here’s another DLI and PAR thread PAR vs. DLI for Autos
Correct.
