Don’t you think your plant would stop growing and ripen if you cut the light cycle to 12 hours? Or are you trying for some kind of record ??? You surely do have the patience of Job himself. Dried untrimmed Future1 and Fat Bastard

This particular seed was genetics from hell. Personally I never thought about changing to 12 and 12 the plant is not going to grow anymore. She’s just incredibly slow and will take at least another month to ripen. She still fattening.

If you think I’m doing it wrong keeping it on 18/6 I have no problem switching to 12 and 12 is that’s what you would do?

I would bring that pot inside until June.

Lostgirl let me tag in an auto expert
 @Autos-only
but yes I would have gone to 12/12 just to make her finish
I am not an auto aficionado
but you appear to be getting foxtails and this plant may not finish at 18/6
foxtails are a menace that never stops growing
they just keep growing longer and longer
throwing white pistils forever
a menace I tell ya

She’s a very unusual girl. She’s got buds growing on top of her buds. They’re not foxtails they’re big ass buds. When I sent Enzo (a world known grower) at 420 fast buds the picture of her in week 11 of vegetation and he seen how big she was yet was not showing any pistols yet he told me she was going to be gigantic when it’s all said and done but will absolutely not grow like an autoflower.

And she is definitely not growing like an autoflower. As far as patients go, that’s my strong point. I’ll let it grow for a year if she needed to. I got no reason to chop her out of anticipation.

It’s funny she’s not even a pig. She only eats 450ppm total. If I give her any more than that she retains it and it comes out in the runoff. 450 ppms is her sweet spot number

I bet that bish is heavy!

She’s very top-heavy. I have six of her large colas tied off to each and of a pole on all four corners of the tent. This keeps her from falling over and opens up the entire inner portion of the plant allowing light access where it normally would not get it. So it’s a win-win. But yeah she is heavy.

I said I’d grow a monster out of this run :tada:

Tomorrow she’ll be 130 days old

I wonder if trying to convince her winter is coming would kick her into finishing up??? What if you dropped the temp and chilled the water when feeding. If a plant thinks winter is approaching they could kick it into high gear???

Could be worth a shot if you really want her to just finish up. You’re looking at a super solid harvest no matter what so cheers to that 130 day ol SOB!!!

So much for smaller plants :joy:

I’ve had a couple really big girls. The one thing I noticed about each one is they just want to be left alone and when they’re done they’re done. I make it a habit of keeping my water at 65°, when feeding her. The tent stays a consistent 70 to 75° the relative humidity is 48% consistently.

These really big girls have a lot going on and seem to just need time. I’m an absolutely no rush to have her finish. I know she’s going to take at least 30 days to be perfect. (I’ve allowed her at least that much on the electric bill before she gets evicted)

When it comes to growing I have areas of expertise and then I have areas that I’m blind. Lighting is where I fall short of education so I am very curious on @RightAway s theory about switching to 12 and 12

Currently at 18/6 16 inches from the top of the canopy in the light set on 100% viper spectrum KS5000 and that’s what the recommendation of the manufacturer is at my stage of growth. Other than that it’s just a light so I can see when I walk in the room

If you’ve grown em huge like this and eventually they ripen and you don’t mind the time
then no worries
I just think it would encourage the plant to ripen. I would like to get autos only thoughts on your situation, as autos are his Forte’. The manufacturers recommendation for your light is probably correct. You can’t judge by eye. Our eyes are the poorest judge , which I quickly realized when I first used the Photo-bio meter. This is a meter that actually does what its supposed to do,and is extremely easy to use. You have a great deal of knowledge on how your plants work best. I certainly hope you know that I realize, and appreciate. Those colas are what its really all about. I love and strive to grow huge ,by God, colas. You should be proud of those. I have 4 phenotypes of Future1. A couple of them are :poop:. Big loose buds. Very not good. Growing in exact same everything, next to stellar colas. BS I say. What would you think about reducing light 15min. Each day? Thus not to stress her but let her know its time? Or keep right on doing what you’re doing. You are a professional, wether you want to face it or not.lol. Happy Growing

When it comes to this particular girl she’s rewrote the book on normality making her a unique plant with very unusual genetics. The fact that she went 11 weeks in vegetation proves that. I’m all about trying new things and I’m very open-minded when it comes to other people’s opinions.

As I stated before I’m not trying to rush this girl to finish that’s not my goal I want her to finish normally and successfully.

Nonetheless, I called my son last night he’s going to come over after work and switch my light to 12 and 12 (I lost the directions to the timer and it’s a very expensive complicated one)

This morning when the lights come on I want to take some pictures as best I can of the new Bud developing spots on her. Several have called them foxtails but I’m very familiar with dealing with foxtails.

The new growth is definitely not foxtails in my opinion. They’re much too big. Enzo said it himself, she’s a genetic nightmare.

I’m even mindset that in the end something tragic is going to happen like hermie or something as she’s just not normal. At the end of the day she’s just a specimen that I learned from. Whatever’s going to happen is going to happen. I can only provide her with what I’m familiar with. So far she’s never been deficient in anything except production where she’s proven to be lazy.

I might even drop her percentage to 75% on the light intensity as well when he changes her to 12/12 really make her think her time is short. As I said, I’m patient and in no rush I’m more concerned with quality than speed.

I appreciate your suggestions and we’ll see what happens. She’s so close I don’t truly think anything could possibly damage her at this point. :love_you_gesture::v:
