The pen you got does not read ppm. But just like the ph pen, they are on amazon for dirt cheap. Thats awesome you got the Apera. You will feel 10x better about what you giving your plants.
TDS is important. Just using it to check the water going into the plant. Then write that down on here or an actual journal. Whenever you water to runoff, or whenever your flushing your plant you can check the ppms that come out in the drainage of the plant to see how she’s eating.
Your plants definitely need some food but they aren’t the worst thing I’ve seen. They will bounce back real quick.
The nitrogen in the nutes will green them back up in no time!!! The best soil question you asked is over my head. The only soil I have used is the Foxfarm Ocean Floor and its working great for me. Alot of people want to be the ones who give the plants their nutes instead of buying a hot soil. Its all personal preference to me
Nice man, So as soon as I got it i will check the water before I water my plants right? If the ph is to low or high I will put some ph up/down in it and my girls will thank me with fat buds. Am I having the right understanding?
Is your water out of the tap? I FORGOT!!
Okay, that’s wonderful. I was about to give them some sun cream because I thought they were burned by the light lol. I really hope they will turn green again. They look so beautiful when they have this dark green leaves.
Sometimes, but I most often use Rainwater, is that a bad thing if its out of the tap?
Whenever you do use tap water(I do as well). Makes sure you get the water and let it sit out opened to allow the chlorine to get out of your water. Which I would give it a full 24hrs amd maybe stir it once or twice.
Oh, okay I guess I wont have this problem when I use rain water, unless god is putting chlorine in his clouds.
Tho, I heared rainwater is pretty acid because of the environmental Co2 output
I would love to list my ph values at your journal
With the runoff or rain water. I would add your nutes first and then do the ph up or down. With the ph up and down a little bit goes along way. So start off adding at the most .5ml at a time. And after you add everything like your nutes let the water settle for about 15 to 20 minutes and then check your ph and ppm.
Okay So I will look for a tds pen too, which pen are you using? I always mix me a 10l can with the nutes and use it over the week
I haven’t ever used rain water but tons of people prefer it. Its probably your best bet. And its free
Yea, its hell to gather tho lol
The tds pen I got is blue. I think its like 10 to 15 dollars. And you never have to calibrate a tds pen
@imSICKkid As soon as they turn green again I will hit you up. I guess I owe you some green leaves then
Okay thats cool
Haha you owe me nothing!!! I love being able to answer your ?'s and help out. I don’t know a ton about growing yet. But for about 6 months before I planted a seed I read so much stuff and wrote down everything. You should do that as well. Even if you keep a journal here, grab a notebook and every time you feed, trim, or whatever, just record it down so you always have your numbers.
