Probably not delayed much of any.

@Covertgrower you know I went ahead and ordered the jacks, and went up to the grow store and STILL spent $250 I bought 2 16 inch hurricane :cyclone: fans, the technaflora recipe for success starter kit, for my girls dad, and went ahead and bought some advanced line nutes FOR NOW, I bought the connoisseur cuz it has most of the additives you can buy already in it, and some carboload, I’ll feed these plants this stuff cuz I already have the Bloom A and B so I use this and on my next grow which won’t be long I’ll use the Jack’s, the regen a root was a sample bottle given to me

Oh and I grabbed this just as an experiment!!

@BobbyDigital @Covertgrower is this thing supposed to be spinning while it’s working? I’ve never used one of these and don’t know that it’s even set right much less working right! :joy::joy:

Yes it is supposed to.

@Covertgrower awesome thanks, I did notice it does but very slowly, slow enough you can’t even see it, but it’s definitely right on time.

Turning Slow like a clock, almost like watching paint dry, but watching the dial could be a fun activity if you are stoned shitless, LOL. More likely a acid trip, rather than weed high would put me in dial watching mode.

Yep those are the year model 1962 timers, but they work well. Not real flashy, but effective.

I use them on lights when we leave the house for extended days.

@Covertgrower @CMichGrower @BobbyDigital @Nicky @peachfuzz hey y’all I was wondering if it will hurt ANYTHING in ANY WAY to use 5 gallon styrofoam inserts in my dwc buckets to keep them cooler I’m running mid 70’s and DO NOT want to even deal with any issues because of higher water temps, so have been searching for a cheap way to drop those temps in to the mid to upper 60’s, a chiller is pretty much out 9f the question, as I only have 2 buckets and it’s NOT recirculating, cuz doesn’t it have to be recirculating to add a chiller? I don’t know any thoughts or input would be great!

Inserts?
Many wrap them with insulation on the outside.

@Nicky yeah I don’t know, but I saw these things at home Depot that are made of styrofoam and you put them in the bucket to help keeping cool for like fishing bait and stuff, but I know it takes away the volume of the inside of the bucket, plus I just read that ppl have had problem with nutes eating away the materiel leaving leaching of the styrofoam product in your bucket, OBVIOUSLY not good for your plants, so I’m not gonna do that, buy though about maybe buying 2 more buckets and setting the DWC’s in the other buckets with ice in between? Along with some insulation, what could I warp around em to help?

Bubble insulation is cheap but not very thick it’s also reflective.

Try that maybe first

@Nicky,:joy::rofl:Haha, was just getting ready to tell you F it I’m going to get some refelctix!!

This may sound kooky but maybe you could figure out someway to put the plants on a shared tray of some sort that you can fill with cold water to keep your buckets cool.

Maybe a tray of water and use the blue freezer ice packs that you can rotate from freezer to tray to keep from having to drain water when ice melts.

You could switch out once or twice a day to keep temps down.

You should set yourself up with a simple rdwc like these…
I mainly use them for cloning and vegging by simple swapping out different lids…
Works like a charm …
White resivor is for maintenance and will also hold 3 to 4 frozen 2 liter bottles to keep things cool… :+1::wink:

@peachfuzz @CMichGrower @Nicky I just went and bought this stuff, I’m gonna wrap the green buckets with the refelctix, and then set the black buckets inside those, and if that don’t do it I bought the ice things, but I also thought does it matter the color of the bucket if I just wrap the new buckets in refelctix, and use them instead it would be much easier that way, also if I cover the outside of the baskets in aluminum foil will that help? I saw pictures of ppl doing it.

@peachfuzz no input bud? I see you!! :eyes::eyes:

Here they are almost done

Insulating the bucket doesn’t eliminate the problem, it just slows it down reaching room temperature by a few hours. Insulation will only help keeping you from having to apply cold as often, but you’ll still need to cool the water down.
