Got 5 out of 6 to pop. I am soaking another Bruce Banner. It cracked, but I don’t think it is growing. This should be fine since Bruce Banner grows taller than the other strains. I was planning on topping the Bruce Banner more than the others. It might have a week lag, but that should be better at this point.
Got my humidifier going, trying to get the room humidity around 60%.
I’m completely new to this and working on my first grow so please excuse my newbie question. Why 60% humidity? My plants are 2 weeks above dirt and I have been keeping my tent at 72%. Is that too much?
@OldNailPounder Nice to meet you! Good luck on your grow. Looks good so far. My humidity dropped to 50%, so getting it above 60% would be my initial goal. 65-75% during seedling and early vegetative is my goal. Also, different strains will react differently to humidity, so just look at your plant to see if it is healthy.
Welcome
soil mix?
perlite 30-40%?
avoid over-watering (too much, too often).
Water away from seedling stem (your soil looks dark, wet, or damp, at the seedling stalk.
Shadows ow wet soil?
Good growing to you.
My week old babies seem to be thriving. Planning on transplanting to my 7 gallon grow bags in 5-7 days. I did this last grow and it worked very well.
This is from my last grow:
BTW, I tried my last grow of Blue Dream for the first time yesterday. It was after 3.5 weeks of curing at 62% in a grove bags. It was wonderful and my wife said the same. The great thing is that “the best is yet to come”.
Transplant Day!
Calling this week 1 of vegetative.
Light is 22" above at 80%. After tonight, move to 18/6 cycle.
Temp = 75° - 82°
Humidity = 50-60%
A + B = CBD Kush
C + D = CBD Zkittlez
E = Runtz
F = Bruce Banner
Week 2 Veg
Two mistakes I noticed. 1. I left the seedlings to grow a bit too much in the propagation trays. Roots built up at bottom and I disturbed them during transplant. 2. Under watered plants since last two grows I went a little too much.
I fixed the water and then just waited out the transplant shock.
Light is now at %100 and 18-20 inches away.
Any thoughts or suggestions are always welcomed and appreciated
Looks great!
Week 3 Veg
Things seem to be going along well. One mistake I made last two grows was giving nutrients 7-10 days prior to this day. I still had a lot to learn. With Fox Farm soil, Ocean Forest, I have been told to wait 4 weeks or so, and I learned why early. This is why I propagated in the Happy Frog soil and the top 3 inches of the fabric container is also Happy Frog soil.
I have been giving them a gallon of water and then waiting three whole days before giving more. Runoff stats: PPE=4000 and pH=6. Trying to get them to stretch up a little, so I have the light around 22" high @ 100%.
Defoliated two low fan leaves per plant today.
Not sure when I am going to flip to 12/12, but I am going to wait two weeks to determine that.
Peace
I would start a drench to drought routine on those Grow Bro, their old enough and those roots will spread out searching for moisture/nutrients
@OGIncognito Tx for the response. I have been watering 1 gallon after three full days of drought. Would that be what you mean? I am still new, so I just want to make sure I understand. Tx!
Drench to run off then let the medium go through the drought period for the needed oxygen to the roots Growmie
Week 4 Veg
Watered them today thoroughly and gave them their first dose of Mega Crop with a 1 gallon to 2 gram ratio. This would be considered a half dose according to the recommendations.
I am going to wait till they get bigger to top them. I am hoping in 7-10 days. Then flip them a week later.
Started to defoliate some big fan leaves on top and started to shape the bottom for the lollipop method.
Also, on a rather cool note. My wife has seen the abundant fruit of my work and has been also enjoying it . So, I told her how I could make room for two more plants on my next grow, and she gave me her heartfelt approval.
Planning on adding an extra light and some more fans.
My strains are listed on previous posts.
Week 5
Topped and defoliated all.
Here is a before and after. Looks scary at first . . .
. . . but here is today’s look:
Leaving then another 10 days or so. Going to give them their first healthy dose of Mega Crop tomorrow.
The CBD Kush (A+B) are on the shorter side. Definitely have good color and they bounced back from the topping and defoliation very well. Hopefully, they can start stretching a bit.
Definitely happy with the CBD Zkittlez (C +D). They seem to be a plant I will be able to handle. They also bounced back very well from the shock.
Both Runts (E) and Bruce Banner (F) are thriving from the topping and defoliation.
I started to hang the light closer to the door two inches lower to help the smaller plants.
Happy growing to all! And to all an abundant harvest!
Looking very nice Grow Bro, you’ll love the MC 1 part and the plants will love it more. Excellent topping job
@OGIncognito
Tx for input and support! My pH and TDS meter broke a few weeks back and I should have replaced it earlier. I have one coming this Friday, but for now I am sticking to 1/2 the dose recommended. This time around I will be giving 2 grams to 1 gallon. They look great and the OF soil is hot, so without a meter I did not want to push it. Do you think that approach makes sense?
Week 6 of Veg
Defoliated a bit today, more lollipop care, took a few low branches off and I topped some of the longer stems on the plant in the far back left.
I am waiting for the two front (CBD Kush) to get a bit bigger before the flip. At this point, I am planning on vegging for one more week and flipping them next Monday evening.
My pH run off is b/w 6.25-6.6.
I watered yesterday, so in three days I am going to water with a normal dose of Mega Crop 1. I have been lighter on the nutes, so I figured now is a good time to give them a boost before the flip.
