Lucky you!!! I thought it was from your shop lol. Iām probably gonna reuse my last soils in a future grow and want to continue the cycles with previous soils and this has my interest peaked lol.

Use piss or dissolved 10-10-10 salt fertilizer to charge it. Load a bucket w char and leave a few inches for head. Fold or cut an old cardboard box to fit in the bucket. Then pack it down using this cardboard as a plunger or piston head. Put a heavy rock or slate on top because the char wants to float like a cork.
Then fill it with piss or dissolved nutes and let it sit for 2 weeks. The char will be loaded. I like to throw in a few handfuls of compost from my tumbler but itās not necessary.
@GreggT you got a lifetime stash there. I would not add more than half a cup per gallon of soil mix in a potted plant regardless of species.
My 2 boys (7 and 9) think itās great fun to piss in daddyās buckets of compost/char. I just leave the 5gallon bucket on the back deck w a lid on it. They tell me when itās full.
The aquarium spent stuff @Fieldofdreams has is the best stuff. It is loaded with a more diverse mix of dissolved tannins, humics, nitrogen derivatives, and P and amino acids from rotting fish food. The only thing lacking in fish systems is K.
Salt water spent aquarium carbon is even better. Everything above +cal and mag. The only thing that eats cal/mag faster than cannabis is corals. Coral tanks have to have cal mag added 2-3 times a week or the corals donāt grow. Some w 
buy systolic pumps that drip it in by the hour.
And (sorry for the repeat) spent carbon filters for weed stink = free char.. You are literally throwing gold nuggets away if you toss your spent filter char. If you look at what a bag of char costs at the shop you would not throw yours out.
@GreggT , sorry to bug you. What does your shop sell bags of char for.?

No new updates on the room. The ice storm put off the siding til who knows when. The ice will be gone today, but supposed to rain Monday - Wednesday, so I dont know when they will start up again. If it aint one thing its 2 more.
