Are these outdated plants?
@dbrn32 is on your thread now if you wanna have a chat with him he should be able to tell you more than me. @lovinglife
Out dated as in use by? I do not know I purchased them from a company here in OZ
I am wondering if something is wrong with them as surely out of seven seeds I can;t be that bad a gardener that I have lost all, bar two…to date.
I’m sorry, I meant outdoor and must’ve spelled wrong lol. I’ve seen a few seedlings look like that from being moved outside too abruptly.
No they are inside in a small grow tent. So a big heat/cold change? They were under a grow light that turned out to be waay too strong but they are not burnt and crispy, just very soft and mushy like and it’s strange that they are still standing, albeit spindly, and have some green.
Artificial lights can do that as well if the lights are too powerful or too. Like bleaching the pigment out of leaves.
That doesn’t mean they aren’t also damping off too. I agree that those peat planters can be a hassle.
Thanks,
I won’t be getting them again.
I guess there is no help for them then.
i cant help but trying till they are dead. up to you, probably pushing
uphill. ya might be lucky??
Try letting them dry out some and see. You already adjusted light correct?
I’ve tried my share of free, bag, and low cost seeds. So far I have had success using ILGM seeds and they have worked best for me in spite of all my attempts to torture and do everything wrong. Pays to start with good genetics.
@dbrn32 Yes I have changed the light and bought a smaller one, the newer seeds seem to be OK, so far.
@fRIEDfRED I agree but I live in AU and the exchange rate it the killer, and really not worth it.
Looks like the last two Black Domina. are going OK. I have them in a small grow tent in the wardrobe. I germinated them via 24hr water, then in paper towel until the root was poking out. I threw out the peat pots and used what I could find, which was a water bottle cut in half and the lid gently placed back on top. They have sprouted and look nice and healthy, a bit leggy thou. I have been using the 200LED grow light until yesterday when I added the small lamp with a 25w cfl globe. I have added a small fan and they are getting a gentle breeze now. (not direct) Here is my little set up and they seem to be liking it. I hope I have better success this time! Thoughts??
They’re looking good. Much better than the last seedlings
I hope these work well for you. Be careful not to over water. Your soil looks like it’s moist and should not need water yet but when it does dry out. I use something small and water just the edges of my cup so the water runs along where the soil meets the cup. Then the roots will grow to look for the water. If you have a small humidifier I would put it in the tent. 57% is pretty good though so you should be fine. Good luck and happy growing ![]()

Thanks for your input, I appreciate it.![]()
I will definitely watch how I water from now on. I have read it is the most common mistake to make for a beginner.
The girls! They have grown a bit in leaf length and just starting to get second set of true leaves. Will the legginess eventually sort itself out ir should I be doing something to help?
Hi all.
I had these globes given to me from a photographer friend, she thought they may come in handy for me. What do you guys think? any good, and if so would one be sufficient for a 40cm x 40cm tent and two seedlings? Appreciate the help.
That bulb looks like it will work great for seedlings. They should like that 5500k. I have a 24 watt T5 fluorescent in 6500k that I use.
Thanks! Should I change to that globe now or wait a day or two when they are a tad stronger? Just a bit worried after my last experience of a “too bright/high” grow light. They have been under an 200L bulb and they are doing alright and just starting their second set of true leaves so each day they are alive the better I feel.
