So I’d appreciate some input. I’m thinking of flipping her this weekend, but im not sure if i should let her get a little hight first.
Some may remember from other post, but…
Grandaddy purple, photo, soil plenty of light and fans, bergmans nutes to schedule.
Shes 14” tall and 30” wide! 15 gallons of ffof.
Stunted for a month as a seedling. Stem bent over as it started growing. Stayed that way, now it looks something like this…
This is my second grow, same strain, but 2 totally different plants!
The other one got much taller before I flipped her. I was hoping that giving this one a little time it would grow a bit taller, but this one is so different from the last I can’t be sure I’m not wasting my time. What ever I wind up doing I’d love to hear some different perspectives.
@Rockdog62 Depends on how much high you have when you flip it will double in size and your in big pot if you have the room you can grow a moster plant nicely done my friend happy growing
Flip the light and let her stretch Growmie, then lollipop the bottom up to approximately the 3rd node, and defoliate day 21 and 42 of flower. Good looking GDP and nice recovery
I’m not sure what any of that means, but i think i need a cold shower lol!
The first grow I didn’t top, and waited a while before starting tying. It grew bushy and full like this, but twice as tall before flower. I cut off leaves with issues and things in the way. Got around 3/4 pound from it.
ILGM says this strain can produce a pound per plant!
This time after it recovered, i did top it. But later than i should have due to the above mentioned trauma. Then started tying. Im cutting way more leaves than i want and this thing is still bushy as hell! I will probably clear it out a bit, but because its only my second grow of a single plant each time I feel the need to go with caution. I know what i get if i do little. I just am nervous to do anything that goes backwards.
Topping worked well! Only once this time. Next time if it starts normal I’ll top twice or 3 times if i get it in time…
As i may not go so aggressively this grow, I’d like to hear about your process! If I can get my head wrapped maybe I’ll give it a modest try lol.
I did go ahead and flip it yesterday. It really seemed like thats what she wanted. We’ll see…
Thanks!
What my man @OGIncognito is saying to remove all the leaves and plant material up to the 3rd node of each branch coming off your main trunk. That way your plant puts more energy into making big beautiful top bud instead wasting energy on the low hanging fruit.
Look up Kyle kushman videos on YouTube and he will set you strait growmie. Good luck
Just realized this is 10 days after you flipped them so you got another week to do it I think
I lollipop and do a defoliation preflower light flip give her a few days to react or recover then switch the light to 12/12. I do another defoliation at day 21 of flower and the last defoliation at day 42 of flower. I will say it took me 2 years to get where I wasn’t t taking too many or too little leaves. Always better to leave more or tuck them if possible. I also pluck throughout the grow but very sparingly
