Hello my Gorilla Glue is its 4th week of flowering and it is starting to look awful in the middle of the plant. I’m using Green Planets G3 nutes, and Massive Bloom for the flowering stage. Also I’m growing it in the auto pot system with 50/50 coco perlite mix, using filtered tap water. They where looking great in the first 2 weeks of flowering, and the plant is huge , but since its gotten to the 3rd and 4th week its starting to show signs of unhappiness. Any help would be most appreciated.
@Budbryan what medium are u in soil? And what are your numbers for ph and ppm?
Using coco and perlite 50/50 mix and 1600 ec
PH is at 6.2
Are u supplementing with calmag?
I was putting cal-mag in with my nutes, but it was making my water get stinky and nasty and couldn’t control the ph in my nutrient reservoir.
So I stopped using it Asher then top feeding it to the plant couple times a week
To control the ph u need to get u a good mix of ph up and down it will help u maintain proper ph range…i use calmag and mix 5ml per gallon i give her that once per week starting at preflower up until
Okay I will try that thanks for the help
@Budbryan also the majority of the time i do calmag on water only days…what kind of ph and ppm pen do u have?
Your pH should be between 5.8-6.0.
@Budbryan hey bro hows ur grow going?
Well man my Bruce Banner is doing great, my Girlscout Cookies was small, but it turned out to be a decent plant. The Gorilla Glue has been a challenging grow the plant is a auto but it took 8 weeks for it to start flowering, and the thing got huge I’ve just got the 4’ x 4’
AC Infinity tent, and it just took over was looking great!!!
But since it’s went into its 3rd and 4th week of flowering it’s just not doing as good. I’ve fed it some cal-mag, as you suggested, and lowered my PH to 6.0, we’ll see in the next couple of days if it will bounce back. It was such an awesome looking plant thought I really had a big yielder, hope it will turn around, and be a decent one at least. I also did some LST to the top colas thinking it might be some light burn too, but it’s funny because the outside buds are doing great it’s just towards the center of the plant!
Have you given them any kind of PK booster since they started flowering?
No I have not just the Green Planet G3 system, cal mag, and the Massive Bloom.
With my experience it looks like a ph lock out that started a few weeks back and was never corrected.
And now in flower it will be complicated to fix.
Hope this helps
And good luck.
In coco keep your ph at 5.8 -6.0 at all times.
I would also recommend a 70/30 coco/perlite mix when used.
I use autopots at the moment to I use 70/30 mix.
But love just straight coco.
Thanks for the help, I’ve kept my PH around 6.2 throughout the whole grow the other 3 plants I’ve had no trouble with, but this monster took over the whole tent, and I feel like I should of done more LST early on. But I agree something has locked out my nutrients because it’s just not looking good. Do you think as big as this plant is that it could get root bound in these little pots I’m also using the air domes with the auto pots?
6.2 honestly isn’t that bad in coco during flowering. I’ve had it get over 7 while using a cheap pH meter. One of my girls is getting watered at 6.2 currently to combat a calcium issue. I asked about a PK booster bc the leaves turning brown and curling. It’s about too late for one now. I’ve use them the first three weeks or flowering or from week 2-5.
Do a little research on PK boosters for your next grow. I can personally recommend MKP and Big Bud powder. I’ve had good luck with both. Make sure you adjust your base nutes to account for the added PK we if you use one.
You can also get lockout from salt buildup in your medium. If you can’t get her lined out check the EC of your runoff. If it’s more than 500 higher than you inflow you probably need a flush. Good luck.
Thanks for the help that’s allot of good information. I will look into the PK Booster.
I don’t think you are root bound,it would have stunted growth if so and not kept growing as big as it has.
Unfortunately with autopots the only way to flush is to run 5-7 days of water only and being that it’s just one plant affected I’m not sure it would be a good idea.
I have never had to flush using my autopots so I’m not sure I would suggest.
What do you think @OGIncognito
