Good strain for New England

Looking for a strain that will thrive in New England.

I’m in central Jersey and grew 2 setiva plants last year …outdoors ,
First time grower …
Harvested 5 ounces off each plant no mold or rot whatsoever.
In containers too not in the ground .
I did seek alot of guidance from the experts on here too tho .
As I understand indica plants are bushier and buds much more dense as a setiva is more airy

Tried northern lights late last season and had bud rot requiring me to harvest early. Trying sativa this year - super lemon haze auto and Durban poison photo. New England is big so it may also depend on which part you’re in. Lower part near the ocean can be considered subtropical and might be better for quick finishing sativa/sativa hybrid. Northern parts, where season is shorter and colder might be better for indica.

The go to for a hardy plant that’s easy to grow is white widow

That was one of the plants I grew and another called mob boss …if either plant would have given me any trouble mold or rot wise it was going to be the mob boss for sure …much denser buds … the white widow was an excellent first timer plant I think also for the area

All good here! Glad to hear you’re back at it. I’ll find your journal. Haven’t started my season yet. Probably going to wait another 2-3 weeks before starting seeds.

Thanks man …I cannot even begin to tell you how grateful I am to be able to be back at it …

Have never been so close to having to let go of the end of the rope …kind of changed my perspective on things

I’m in NY. I tried to look for varieties that were supposed to finish in September. I know from growing my hot peppers that the weather always seems to take a real sharp turn here Oct 1.

I went with a Northern Lights x Cindy99 cross, blue cheese, which was supposed to be cold hardy, and skittles, which is supposed to have rot resistance but finished in October. I’ve heard really good things about Durban.

I want to grow a Durban plant so bad …
I like the dispo versions I can occasionally get my hands on but I think it could be more potent as with all dispo weed
