Good LED light for Veg/Mother Plants?

Good afternoon fellow growers! I have finally embarked on my grow room and have split it into two sections. I have a veg area of 4 x 8 but am only going to utilize 4x4 for dedicated veg so i can cycle. My question is, i am currently using a VS2000 for my flower room. Can i get by with a VS1000 for dedicated veg? Would it be enough to keep a mother plant happy? Thanks in advance for letting me pick your brain

I imagine you can make that light work for a 4x4 space strictly for veg stage as that light is rated a 4x4 for veg and 3x3 for flower. Once she gets bigger you may or may not need side lighting depending on how long you plan to keep her in veg. I have a marshydro ts3000 rated for a 4x4 flower and 5x5 veg and my mother plant is 4 ft wide and 4 ft tall and the sides of the plant dont get much light so i just rotate the plant everytime i water

Buy the best light you can afford for your Flower tent-space.
Veging will be happy with your current ight or/and less.
BEST is best route, Are you above 1000/PPFD (45DLI) in your flower tent?
Your light adverises as this (below picture)

How high do you have the lights?

@DEEPDIVERDAVE in the tent i have ( 2x4 ) im using the VS2000 from Vivosun. I dont plan on having more than 3 in flower at a time. I could upgrade the VS2000 for flower. I only built the rooms so i coud keep everything climate controlled.

Pictured above is the VS2000 (200WATT). I have one and the VS1000 (100WATT, almost, when meter measured). Absolutely work very well for heat control and multiple lamps position well. I have only dropped one, once, as the hangier device came off. I just want to upgrade for one BIG lamp, and a few creatively place small lamps. This is the worst time of the year for heat causing indoor grow difficulty. Currently, I am maxed for heat tolerance (no A/C). Winter will be my time and I will need BIG and heat (no heat available, cheap), or somebody is gonna freeze. I am trying to get to 3 Flower and 3 Veg (plants, not tents). I can only hope. Best grow to you, too. BTW, it took me 2 hours to empty my flower tent, wash and alcohol wipe, water plants, and map lighting. Tent is 4x4x6.5. Android app or PPFD/DLI utilized for mapping four quadrants of the tent (center of each quad). Results being analyzed and expect repeated measuring 7-15. Removed about 5 Hermi’s or males in the past month and have found seeds. What can I say?

Back, To your original question, yes less light means closer distance or slower growth. My clones in veg tent LOVE it. My Veg tent contains flowering ladies and clones (mostly flowering). The flowering (past veg) ladies can not be moved into Flower tent. 2 Months seperate the tents. Flower tent in week 5 of flower, and not yet near ready or prime. Late stage veg and clones all are sparse and spindlly. Eviction notices weekly. Cash, Gas, or Azz, Nobody rides for free.

I think I would get a better light for the flower room and move the 2000 to the veg space

I picked up an HLG QB135 B-Spec and really like it for vegging smaller plants. The blue spectrum keeps node spacing tight and I typically run it at around 90 watts. Very economical.

@Myfriendis410 thanks brother! That looks like a great choice for what im looking for. Are you dimming or running 100% ? How hard was assembly ?

I think it’s a 150 watt light at peak. Took less than five minutes to assemble. Probably the best light available today.

@Myfriendis410 pulling the trigger on it now
