Golf leaf flowering

Gold leaf has started flowering. Overall I think they are doing good. I have been finding small catipillars that I think are eating on leaves and building cocoons. I pick them out as I find them and I also have spiders that I have seen eating other insects so not sure if I should leave them alone.

If I saw this in my house I might have to move.

And if it is over an inch long I might set the house on fire as I left.

Spiders eat all the bad bugs. Just be careful they don’t web your buds up. And wash the shiiiiiiiiiit out of them when you harvest. Nice growing!

I’d bring out the 12 gadge for that one. Shame that the propane tank is in the way…oh well sometimes you gotta break some eggs.

Aww c’mon. The bouncers are cute and pretty social when they get used to you. It’s the wolf, widows, and recluses I steer clear of.

I’ve seen wolf spiders big as my hand. They don’t bother me to much as long as I know they are there. It’s when I’m under the house fixing a pipe and one is in my face that’s when I loose my shit. Lol

I call them writing spiders. They are cool to have in the garden

I used to get at least one of these on me every time I mowed. Luckily, if you do somehow manage to get them to bite you it’s like getting bit by a mosquito. Mine have gotten smarter and build their webs much higher in the trees so they can’t be walked through.

If you see one of these LEAVE IT ALONE …it’s eating everything it sees
There’s also a red one but that is the larve of a lady bug,

this one is a green lacewing larve

I’ve had all kinds of pests since April 5th when it sprouted

But here I am because of this natural predator

If I ever grow outside I’m buying a couple praying mantis egg pods and hanging on my plants. They eat everything, the good, bad, and the ugly. Hell I read they’ll even take a bird down. No pests ever on your plants with these things around.

My wife said she will move out if I bring a praying mantis around. Apparently she was traumatized by one as a kid. Lol. I think they are awesome.

Did you ever see one eat??? Google it. LOL.

I understand. My wife actually bought a couple egg sacks off eBay and we hatched them in a little sack they give you with a window in it. Hundreds of the little bastards. We put them outside, then had a cold snap that killed them all I assume. It was actually pretty fascinating.
