I love ilgm, started these Gold leaf feminized in late May and they’re doing great so far. I have been planted in 5 gallon buckets outside with full sun. I was checking them yesterday and my most mature plant seems like it might be a hermaphrodite hermaphrodite. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated, first outdoor grow. Thanks, DW
Welcome to the forum.
I see no indication of a hermie. The round “balls” looking things are female calyxes. Flowering hermies will present as “bananas” like the photos below.
Nah you must have superpowers because I was just about to ping you.
I sit here at my desk working all day from 3 AM to ~3 PM. I check the ILGM tab when things are slow.
Fair enough man, you are a huge help on this forum, can’t thank you enough for the help you have given me:metal:t3:
Good morning Midwest guy, I too in the midwest guy, Central Illinois. Thanks very much I’ll post a couple more pictures, you just saved my best plant LOL. I’ll move it back outside where it belongs.
Yeah keep us updated that plant looks humongous can we get a full pic?
Well I went ahead and snipped a small branch broke it down and found two seeds. Could this be a female that somehow got pollinated late, this is the 10th or 11th week. I’m praying that it doesn’t affect my inground crop which is about 75 ft away.
I’m not what to do with it now at least I’ve got some very good seeds I’m wondering if it’ll affect the rest of my crop. I’m going to dry some out and try it, I’ll let you know. Everyone’s help is greatly appreciated thank you, Dw
I’m not sure for now put it as faraway as possible from the other plants as possible you might want to take a look at this thread, Can plants from feminised seed become pollinated?
they might be producing seeds for various reasons
At least until someone with more knowledge can help tou
Wow, I tried some out and it smokes very good, not very harsh and nice feeling. I could move it inside under 1000 watt LED grow light which would keep it away from my other plants. If it’s already pollinated is it still a danger to my others. It could be a bonus from, ILGM LOL lots of free seeds. Or I could just harvest it now.
I’d let it grow
Yeah just to be safe I’d bring it inside
I’m sure someone with more experience will answer shortly
THC content will be very low at this point. I would inspect your plants for the nanners.
No manners, just seed pods so far, should I move it inside or just not worry about it. I don’t mind having some seeds if this is the only plant. I’ve checked the other plants and they all look great! Thanks Midwest guy
A female plant can produce a few seeds on its own, but more than a few seeds means that there is a source of male pollen in the area. I would spend some time, find that source, and get rid of it.
A friend on the other side of the lake has a grow I’m not sure whether that could be the problem, or there’s a lot of hemp around here. The smoke is good even without being cured or dried correctly. I think I’ll just let it go harvest it, and I’ll have some seeds for next summer. Does misting my plants everyday and night help with them not getting pollinated? Thanks again
What was the out come of your plants? Were they hermies? Did you have success? The reason I’m asking my plants look good to the end. Full of seeds.
My last grow was disappointing that ended up with a bunch of seeds. A lot of seeds.
What lake you by? Do any fishing? Am curious also how that harvest went. Did you try again this year.
My feminized Afghan from ILGM gave me 5 or so seeds on an indoor grow with no pollinators so it’s definitely possible.
