How many should I do this time did 3 sk last time on 600hps I have 2 600hps now and a/c floor unit to keep it cool I’m thinking 4 or 5 I use cyco nutrients I have the entire line I have 600cfm fan and scrubber this is my second grow by the way
2 600 watt HPS is a lot of heat for that size tent and a lot of light, you could get a bigger tent 4’ x 6’, a second 4’ x 4’?
how many plants depends how long you leave them in the vegetative stage…1 plant in a scrog vegged 3 months could fill the tent, 2 plants would be easy to start with, 3 plants again should pack a 4’ x 4’ with the experience you have now, 4 could get too crowded.
will you top and train the plants? allow to just grow no training?

Its my 1st time with the gold leaf so I wanna see what she likes 1st plus I’ve never scroged before and yes and goimg to pinch and top her but when is the best time to top her and I’ll just do 1 600hps till I get a bigger tent then if I try the scrog thing can you help me out
@kabongster is right. 2 x 600w HPS is a lot of heat. Maybe with the A/C unit you can get away with it but a bigger or second tent would be advised. I have the same size tent and use a 250w HPS and a 300w LED. My 4" fan keeps the tent temp around 75F. I used to run a 600w HPS but temps and electric consumption convinced me otherwise. Lol.

I like to top when the plant is growing healthy in the vegetative stage…that is after the fourth set of real leaves are growing
and for me, I wait till the 7th set of real marijuana leaves, the 7th node, and cut back between nodes 5 & 6.

He could get either air cooled hood or tubes with some ducting he could pull most of that heat out with a decent 4in inline fan

OK its settled then 1 light it is just received email on pre-shippment on seeds so I’m here cleaning up my tent and I’m going to just do 2 girls can one of you tell me a little about the scroging thing and are the classes offered on here pretty cool thinking about taking them

if money wasn’t a problem for me, I’d have one 600 watt HPS with additional side lighting in the 4’ x 4’…less than 1200 watts and used in better ways.

Well my friend owns a hydro store so he gives me a lot of things people bring in to trade and upgrade so if you ever need something get on Atlanta Hydroponics and call him some of the used led lights he has are top of the line and reasonable

that is so good for you…take advantage of those opportunities.
as for me, I don’t need any more plants growing than I have, two in my 4’ x 4’ tent. My sister is the biggest beneficiary of my excess.
I will have more than enough from my harvest, and I’ll have two more going…unless something disrupts the cycle I will keep stockpiling from my grows, always producing more than I can use.
All the tents I’ve bought are AgroMax. The only place I know that sells them is HTG Supply. You can google them if your interested. The 4x4x7 is the “medium” size but they have bigger sizes all the way to 10’ x 10’.
