Going to purchase a better light , SF-1000 spider farm

will this be a good choice for my 36X36X72" Tent ? I will be only growing 1 autoflower plant at a time . Thank you in advance .

It’s not really enough light to flower one plant.

A 100 watt light (the SF1000) is very under powered to light up a 3x3 tent adequately, while it will grow 1 autoflower plant, flowering would not be the best. A bigger investment in light will give bigger and better returns (denser buds and more yield).

Moving up to a HLG 300 or HLG 260 (if you don’t mind putting together a kit) would give you a much better light with more growing options for future grows (like filling up the tent with bud). The light is the single most important piece of gear for indoor growing.

They say the SF-1000 is good for 2x2 flowering space no more tho. Listen to @Hellraiser , He knows his stuff!

@JustStarting .
Not trying to be rude. But you’d probably be better to save for the light Hell mentioned and do some homework until you can afford a proper light for your new hobby.
No sense in spending twice.

Hey man seems like you know what your talking about so first timer I have the sf-1000 trying to do 3 GSC from ILGM already sprouted. Do I have enough light to go all from sprout to harvest ? Says 2x2 veg have tent and everything? Did I waste my money be honest. Big thanks

R spec will veg and flower your tent.
You want a R spec

I think a sf 2000 would do the job for a 2x2
You might be cutting it short with the sf 1000 for flower

The HLG 260 is a very useful light you can always build a bigger grow off by just adding another one. Get the R spec.

Go for the Rspec, it’s best for flowering and fine for the whole grow, the Bspec is better for veg, for those that have separate veg and flower areas.

It’ll work for a 2x2, but won’t be ideal, it’s a little weak for flowering specially if you fill up that tent with 3 plants.

The only way you could use in flower would be to grow autos and then run light for 20 + hours to hit DLI.

The HLG light is the last light you’ll ever need.

Thanks everyone for the feedback planned to do 18-6 hrs of light and should have mentioned I did buy the auto flower version of the GSC got the mix pack, fist time growing in cannibals but do have a large vegetable garden very familiar with LST and pruning or “Lolly popping” was hoping that would make it work. Tent spec 27,27,63 plants going in 5 gallon fabric pots soil ocean forest happy frog perlite peat moss vermiculite mixture with all that plus have my own fox farm nutrition trio. Can I do 3 or should stay with 2 ? Thanks for all feedback

Good choice you can also upgrade it in the future by adding a 3rd panel and a bigger driver and turn it into a 320 watt unit I believe

Same as mine. Except built mine with different driver and the double heat sink. Does great.

Won’t have to replace it anytime soon. Great choice.
