@Ebb
I now have (4) 6” ACI oscillating fans. Two above, two below. I think my biggest concern is there are so many buds (seems like thousands), and foliage is so thick that i wonder if I’ll end up with tons of popcorn buds?
The buds are getting bigger but a long way from large. Still have a few weeks to go.
I do worry about mildew and mold and have been warned on this site.
If i was a betting man i would say 95% popcorn at least. Im rather new so hopefully im wrong. I like to lollipop to concentrate the plants power to growing fewer bigger buds. Whatever the size of the bids it should be a good amount
That’s wild right there looks good tho. Really thick so keep air circulating you’ll be just fine thinning it probably wouldn’t hurt an don’t forget about pot size roots get really big. Keep on rocking on🤟
@Zach7
Thanks. I do have 4 oscillating fans (2) above the canopy blowing down and (2) below the canopy blowing up. Should be plenty of air flow (I hope).
I have removed an insane number of leaves throughout the grow (well, at least I think it’s a lot)
Have the fear of stunting growth from what all I read.
Also, the pot looks small in the pic because the root stalk is so big. This is a #5 airpot (5 gallon equivalent). When i harvest, I will open the side of the pot and use water to wash away the coco gently. I want to see how massive the roots were in the pot. Should be a ton.
I just put 2 in 17 gallon pots out of 5 gallon buckets cause they was root bound on me. Your plant is way more bushy. I would thought it was plenty of room for plants like this one auto one not
I have similar issues with readings from the different equipment, but over the years I’ve learned which I trust to be the most accurate. For humidity I only trust the readings from my Inkbird controllers. I love my AC Infinity fans, but I (and others here) have found the humidity readings to be off. I’ve calibrated them to the Inkbirds several times, but they always drift back higher again within a few weeks.
For temperature I do trust the AC Infinity, mostly because it usually matches up with the Inkbird temp controller.
Also, keep in mind that the locations of your probes play a role, along with if fans are blowing on them or near them.
Personally i would thin out your canopy a bit. Remove most of the really thin stemmed colas and mak3 space for the healthier more robust stalks. Youre going to have a popcorn nightmare ahead of you if not.
This is probably what I would have done.
Now I’m nervous to suggest you do that now
Have you ever heard the term “Schwazzing”?
If not Google it and it could maybe give ya some idea’s, even if not for this plant, for future giant mutants.
It still probably wouldn’t hurt to statistically take a branch or two, or maybe pluck most fans and snip off the shortest little stuff here and there…
Or don’t do anything, dont let me or anyone influence your decision 100%.
Pictures can be deceiving and you know the plant better then any of us…
I would strip it, but I’m pretty aggressive and I’m im not going to lie, I get nanners alot with autos and it could be my aggression in flower
I grow perpetually so it’s not a huge upset if i lose one as theres more right behind it, though it does suck
If I was more limited I probably would play it safer…
You definitely lollipoped. And i understand your hesitation on stunting an auto. Stunting definitely didnt happen with this girl. Really impressive amount of growth from an auto.
From what i understand about potency location is key. The top will be the most potent. And a gradual drop of potency happens going down the plant. I seen a scientific study breakdown on yt. If i find the video i will link it. It is very professional and informative. It also said using humic acid makes all the buds almost the same potency no matter the location. However it lowers the overall potency a couple percent.
Popcorn buds only means small sized.
They can be just as dense and potency shouldn’t be much different at all from say the very tip top bud to the lowest tiny obe on the bottom.
It will all smoke the same so rest easy on that one, it will not effect potency, only bud structure
