So, I have a clone of my Clone of my Clone growing now. Doing very well, getting close to Harvest. But why doesn’t my girl Stink.? All the other harvest’s from this plant smelled wonderful. No skank from this girl hardly at all. I love to wake up to a sweet stink from it, but Nope. Any idea’s?. Will it have any effect when smoked? Than you. Scott
It has very little smell because you are not close to harvest. Looks to be at least 5 weeks away, maybe 6 or 7 depending on the plant. Looks great just keep doing what you are doing.
ok cool. Thank you.
Yeah , it might be a different time of year ? As in cooler temps . It looks very young and might take a while longer to for terpenes to develop more . Pretty sure it will be fine .
Good looking plant, just young. A month or so from now you’ll have a smell’er!! Good luck ![]()
Good morning. So looking at the picture, do you think I should trim off most, some, or ALL of the leaf’s, so the plant will focus more on the NUGS, or should I leave all of the leaf’s on and just wait for harvest>?
I wouldnt trim anything until right before harvest.
I’ll echo what Sausage said.
I tend to think in mechanics terms…
Roots are the rough equivalent of a fuel tank, providing raw materials for the plant to use.
The leaves, combined with proper light, convert that raw fuel into the horsepower needed to drive the flowers.
If the canopy gets too dense, lst is a great method.
I know folks who scrog, it’s just not my cup of tea.
Beautiful gals!! Keep doing what you’re doing!

Many thanks, @kaptain3d !
Just got my voice back ![]()
Could it be because its a clone of a clone of a clone? I have been taught that if you do that, you will loose the original traits of the plant that came from seed. Thats why people have a motherplant that you take your clones from.
I dont know if thats tru? Can anyone confirm that? Or
I can’t say if it’s true or not but I know that I did take clones of clones of clones… for about 3 years and the last ones were just as good as the first ones… ![]()
Maybe @Budbrother has an answer for that ? ![]()
Thanks Monsieur Plant Whisperer! ![]()
I should have searched first… ![]()
I knew what I said and even so that took a few mins to find. The search sucks. My coffee is finally ready and I can open both eyes lol
@James87 , I had a buddy who was a breeder and sold clones.
He always said 15 as a rule of thumb, but also said after 20 or 30 times genetic mutations would set in.
I don’t recall him having more than 5 mothers for any given strain.
Just my 2 cents, I’ve always grown from seed. ![]()
