Getting a bunch of decorative house plants, bad idea?

Just bought my first house and wasted no Time starting some gorilla glue beans in a couple AC Infiniti 4x4s.

I’m beginning to decorate more and I deeply love variety of house plans, but I’m a bit hesitant to bring home a bunch of plants in soil from the home Depot that have God knows what hideous creatures living in them and plopping them one room over from my tent.

I’ve always grown in Coco/intert and DWC and have a decent IPM routine with few issues, but I feel like I might just asking for an army of critters to ruin my crop.

Any insight?

Also here’s a pic of some HSC. blueberry Muffin on week 5 veg just cus

Hi @Hooterjh101 I do not know the answer to this question but have had the same question in the back of my mind for some time so I hope you don’t mind if I tag along to see what the more experienced folks have to say. Also, and I maybe really over analyzing but how would having plants that may pollinate in an adjacent room from plants that are in flower work? I get that they are totally different plant species but is there a chance for something weird to happen? I hope this makes sense!

Get the plants, and get some good pesticide. Soak them down on the back porch and leave them out for a day or two.

Well advised by my 2 Grow Bros above. My wife has about 30 tropicals throughout our house and I often have to nurse a few and keep them completely isolated from my grow room :love_you_gesture:

Thanks for the replies fellas!

I ended up isolating them far away from the tent and snip some clones and started rooting them in Rockwool.

And they take root ill throw them in some coco and feed them my runoff hydroponic nutes and watch them go crazy!

Who would have thought you can go plans in your house other than cannabis…?

I ended up bringing them in the yard and housing them down pretty good then hitting them with a big old coat of neem oil.

Any recommendation for non cannabis pesticide? Kind of sketch about introducing chemical pesticides in the house with a baby but I’m sure there’s some that are safe I’m just too lazy to do the research. Help a brother out

This Mass Cane plant was sitting in the Walmart garden center tipped over leaves on the ground, with most of the dirt spilled and roots exposed. I couldn’t leave the poor bastard sitting there so I took it home rinsed all of the soil off the roots replanted in Coco and gave her a nice dose of nutes and rapidstart.

The duct tape is the neck brace because she couldn’t stand upright with her tiny root mass :disappointed_relieved:

This is just 3 days ago, stay tuned!
