I use 75ºF water RO with a splash of Hydroperox. I only soak for 12 hours then I place in a paper towel and wet it with the water she was soaking in and in a ziploc with hot breath to make it like a balloon and then in a 80ºF cupboard for 12-18 hours and she usually has a 1/4" tail. Plant her fingernail depth in a small seedling pot, cover her with loose soil and into the super sprouter she goes.
The link above has my input in a seed germing thread with pics of what I just explained.
I don’t believe there is a right or wrong way within reason. With ILGM seeds, follow their germination guidelines to make sure if something does go wrong, you can request replacements. Some folks bypass the whole soaking-paper towel method and just drop the bean right into the pot. Others use rapid rooters, whatever works to get that tail!!
