Help with new beans

Need help as I feel totally stupid and can’t seem to get it right. Got my beans sat. Soaked for 33 hours in distilled H20 but misunderstood and put into peat without them cracking.
What can I do now? Do I put them in tent or leave them inside with a cfl? Don’t want to kill my girls, Help!

well @Laurap,i have found it is good to use paper towel method of seed germination. i would not worry much because they can still germ. just as well your way.
keep them warm and humid and they should pop up for you.
how far did you bury them?

id advise using a dome for sure, really does give them a great start. Although one of my seeds didn’t germ in the paper towel, and decided never to get out of its shell (probably just a bad seed) as the rest where fine in the same conditions. You could always dig um up and paper towel them? that’s probably what id do personally.

I’ve got them under a 400MH now 12 hours on. Don’t think I can extract unless absolutely necessary. My fear is since they’ve been in 3 days might damage anything that may occur but will ponder it.
Thanks for info

Using a tea spoon it wouldn’t be too hard, I’m sure they will be just fine, just my 2 cents

I soak and place straight in peat pellets before they crack most of the time but I only grow mothers from seeds so for me I only need one to succeed they take 4-5 days on average to sprout out of peat so don’t be hasty they could just be taking their time i get the odd one takes week or more

an inch is a bit deep,i put mine 1/4to 1/2 inch… they have a chance of coming up,but if possible get them a bit closer to the surface …

Thank you Donaldj! Man oh man I didn’t wanna try to dig up as put in peat so I never would disturb roots. As long as moist right?

I agree 100% with Donald J give it a few days and you will be set my friend do you have any questions please feel free to hit anyone up you feel comfortable with talking to @Donaldj is a great help to all of us you’re in great hands but if you can’t get a hold of him you can always try getting a hold of me and I will be more than happy to answer any questions I can happy growing

Thank you so much for your input. Was terrified I had already killed them. I’d be lost without y’all!!!

I honestly don’t think depth of the seed matters I just had 4 germed and I planted them 1.5" to 2" under, kind of as an experiment with 20/80 soil/perlite mix and two popped out a day an a half later and the other two popped a day or two later. Just gotta have patience that’s what growing had thought me and quick too because I’m REALLY impatient. But anyways happy growing and give em some time they’ll grow!
Happy growing friend

I don’t even soak lol. I just put them in these lil root riot starter cube things. I like em alot more than jiffy pellets. I killed a few seeds because the jiffy pellets retain alot of water Imo. I’m sure ur seeds will pop up in a day or two

@Laurap I did the same thing so I dug mine up and put them in paper towel and it worked. But if they have sprouted then you are in danger of breaking off the roots and once you do that they are done. I ruined 5 seeds that way by just being curious at how they where growing. Also since they where not coming up because I buried them to deep I thought they needed more water. WRONG I made all the mistakes you are making now. So my advise would be to leave them alone. Don’t over water, be patient and they will come up. I know this is hard to do right now but give them at least a week before you try anything. I hope you are more successful then I was.

At this point the best thing to do is nothing. Just wait till they pop up out of the dirt and don’t go digging for them like I did. Happy Growing better days r coming.

Thanks, on these seed pods due to your comments what’s generally how much H20 do I need to give each day?

Just keep it moist.

Np. First grows are always nerve racking n full of mistakes. With out this forum and info from the web it provided I probably would of killed more than just one of my bag seeds I started to learn on before I used the seeds I spent money. I kinda wish a couple more died or we’re males cuz my grow area is small n completely overcrowded atm… But hey they’re in flower n I might get some decent buds from a bunch of free seeds.
