I put my seeds directly in soil yesterday 1-1. I have my heater running between 75-82 degrees, and overnight my heater shut off, and it got down to 65 degrees for like 7 hours. I have the temperature back up into the 70s. Will my seeds still germinate, or do you think it going down to 65 degrees overnight killed them, and I should start over? Any help is appreciated.
It should be fine. I’ve always put my seeds directly in soil and they are always fine.
It will take several days for a seedling to pop up.
Greetings,
No problem. Be at peace.
Take care.
Thanks, so you don’t think it going to down to 65 degrees overnight hurt them at all?
As stated:
Thanks i’m trying.
Ok thank you
I use a germ mat to make sure soil temp is maintained just in case of little hiccups when germing.
I agree with @MidwestGuy , 65 isn’t that cold. Sounds like a normal Spring fluctuation to me. If they were buried in the soil it even further insulated them. Give them a day or 2 and if they were gonna come up they will. Good luck!!
Thanks, you guys eased my mind a bit. It’s back up to 80 degrees now.
