Fungus gnats war

Im good now mosquito bits worked i Put it in all the pots and all the water reservoirs and the gnats are seemingly gone and sand worked on mine. I’m using fabric pots. There’s no drainage holes, but with the open reservoir that I just switched to seems to have brought them back, but I’m all good now. Harvest was good.

Mosquito bits are the bomb, saved me in normal houseplants too!

I am at war right now. Wasn’t aware of root aphids. These so called gnats I have seem to look a little different at a glance. I am using coco/perlite mix with Athena pro nutes and I thought I would be pest free. Guess again. I have used neem oil and DE top dress but can’t seem to get them under control. Their wings do look twice the size of the body. Any suggestion. I guess I’ll have to buy the mosquito bits and traps???

What is your weapon of choice?

Thank you

I had to attack them on multiple fronts; i.e., at every stage of their life cycle. Bits for eggs and larvae, DE on the soil, traps and Dead Bug for the adults. Air lines to agitate the nute solutions in bases and buckets. But when I stopped using soil/soil-like potting mixes, that was pretty much the nail in their coffin.

Yeah I really thought I would be bug free with the coco/perlite mixture but that doesn’t seem to be the case.
