Gnats! Organic solutions?

Please anyone help me out. Budget grow and I’m just now having a gnat problem. My power went out for a little bit while I was in town and I got back and corrected everything asap but there was hella big ass gnats in there I’m just trying to get rid of them without having to use de. But any other organic matter that’s not gonna leave residue all over my plants or is really dusty I don’t wanna breathe it in. What do you use to kill knats?

These are some natural ways to get rid of fungus gnats. Eliminate excess moisture, sticky traps, hydrogen peroxide, bacillus thuringiensis israelensis, and neem oil. I personally use summit mosquito bits and sticky traps

Same here, works pretty well. The mosquito bits won’t hurt the plants, so no worries if you have to re-do treatments. Some organic soil growers keep their soil a bit moist, which adds to the gnat problem, but they use the mosquito bits regularly with no issues.

Insect frass can be used as a top dress. It serves many purposes but it kills gnats because ot cuts their exoskeleton and they dry out and die. Insect frass also contains chitin which triggers your plant to go in defense mode. I have the kind from down to earth.

Like @Twelve1 mentioned, i keep this in my hydro resivor, no gnats. Side note, my buddy just had a big gnat problem, and didnt do a good job of checking his flowers. The root cause of gnats were they were eating / reproducing " in the bud".
Might want to do a good look over and figure out where they are thriving. Adult gnats live like 24 hours, so continuous gnats means they are in there “somewhere”

And its a naturally occurring bacteria that targets larva. So it is organic. The media its impregnated on is simply ground up corn cob.

I’ve deployed a bug zapper inside my tent. I don’t see any thing anymore.
Another product to look at is Capt. Jacks. It can be used up to date of harvest if needed.
Bonide CAPTAIN JACK’S Neem Oil Ready-To-Use 3 in 1 Insecticide, Fungicide, Miticide, For Organic Gardening, 32 oz

I was a big fan of DE when I grew in soil and it’s very budget friendly. Works on soil bearing gnats :love_you_gesture:

Looks to be around the 2nd week of flower?? :love_you_gesture: 7-8 weeks or longer would be my guesstimate

Nah deeper. It showed its first set of pistols on the 2nd week sixth day. So almost 3 weeks and I’m almost at 8 weeks.

And your estimate for what?

Just judging the pics and still say a solid 7-8 weeks or longer. I plan a 12 week flower to harvest and once I’m past the seedling and veg stage I forget those days :love_you_gesture:

Oh okay I see. I appreciate that bro. It’s an auto flower too tho. I’m not sure. I was hoping to get a 10 week harvest but who’s knows. She’s doing good no? I got more pics of you wanna see her when she was younger too. And more of recent. She’s got sugar on her now you gotta look close it just started making sugars on the leaves.

When I start an auto grow and this is just my experience and these times can vary but I go 14 days from breaking ground as the seedling period and transfer to their forever home. Days 15 is now day 1 of veg and typically last 28-36 days before preflower then I estimate 10-12 weeks to harvest. Autos can be tricky and flower sooner. The difference between growing photo period and autos is there’s next to no room for error with autos from ground breaking to preflower to get a good size plant and harvest :love_you_gesture:
