Full spectrum LED lights

How many screw-in full spectrum LED bulbs do I need to adequately light a cabinet measuring 2.4 square feet?

An HLG 200 Diablo would be a good light for one plant in a 2.4x2.4

You’re not going to be able to grow cannabis with a screw-in bulb of any type. Cannabis needs a lot of light to flower properly.

Hi, thanks for your reply. I am not a rookie… been successfully growing Cannabis with screw-in bulbs (CFLs and others) for years. I am not aquainted with full spectrum bulbs. I am wondering if they are more cost effective and/or more efficient.

The most efficient diodes you can get are the Samsung LM301 series diodes.

Well most of those bulbs are normally 50watt from the wall four or five would do it you would a total of 200watts with four and 250 watts with five

@Skateallday55 is running a grow with screw in GE lights. looks like they get good results. maybe they can chime in

Yes weed can grow with just about any kind of light bulbs the question is what quality of cannibas do you want and nowadays the question is what quality of cannibas can you afford to grow.sometimes money is tight so do what you can. At least you’re not having to fork out cash for weed.

Brooooo this stuff SMOKES. I’m glad I bought them . My only issue is heat.Consider that it’s a GE light and they have more money to invest than basically any company out. I get why you’re skeptical. Eventually these will be side lighting

If the red and blue have the right amount and you check the DLI there is no difference between an expensive light and these. They are 40 dollars a pop so in the end I payed about $320 for 8 of them. So cheap but not like I went and got a bs LED

I’m not sure but I have 2 to 3 depending on if for each plant depending on if she is doing lst or not yet

I’m all over the place with lighting in nursery we have low watt blurples in another room mars hydrotsl2000 x2 in another a hlg 350r in another hlg 600r x 2. In last room 2 600 watt mh/ hps they all work and make good weed but can definitely tell the difference in density

I have people calling me already asking for when the next harvest is ready. Sure some people don’t grow wellwith screw in bulbs but these GE lights kick butt dude. Most people that do buy screw in bulbs don’t put in the effort to check the DLI , eater properly , nurlte right or look at defeciencies and excesses . Let’s just say my last name is a German name meaning gardener. …

That looks great, those lights like that made me for a minute wanna be on stage again( the desire quickly passed) your plants look happy. If they’re happy and you’re happy we’re mostly all happy
I have to add that while reading and chatting here my wife was talking to me and I said mmmhmm and she is still giving me the business for it. So obvious I wasn’t listening to her lol. I’m gonna blame the peach cobbler moonshine I been enjoying this afternoon

He’s really talking about yield. Low intensity light (like what you are talking about) will produce flower but typically loose and airy with not much weight. Decent lights can up your yields dramatically. I run 200 watts of gucci light per plant and usually yield 12 oz dried per plant. No way you are doing that with GE light bulbs.

Everyone is happy. Not tryna be mean but people are dead wrong saying you can’t grow with screw ins…maybe they can’t but I can. And I have everyone already asking when the next batch is ready.

If the DLI is right wtf does it matter ???

From an autoflower ? Bc I got 5 os my first try and no LST or topping.

I suspect you will hit your heat tolerance before your actual DLI. Plus, those lights don’t have the same CRI as high end LED’s. And I can do it with less total wattage due to the efficacy of the lights. But you can use 'em. They are simply inferior.
