Bookmarked that one
Ya never know
I tried to grow a few here and believe it or not, something came by and ate the whole dang thing! The fruit was about the size of a softball. I blamed the deer. Maybe I’ll try one on the back deck next time.
I had great luck growing them in Fl. but when I came back to NM I had trouble getting my potted one to flower. Maybe ethylene was the bit I was missing. I’m gunna have to try again.
Interesting and appreciate that time saver, I was thinking about dropping a few tops in some 5 gallon plastic pots I have Lilly’s breaking ground in… after a transplant maybe
Happy Cannaversary Kim
Yeah after your transplant those.
Happy Cannaversary @Caligurl and to many more.
That’s very nice of you sharing those… I had never seen pineapple growing and it’s mesmerizing.
I second that! The pineapple is another amazing plant
Gotcha and appreciated Brother
Been having a hard time with germ of some old TGA seeds. Got 1 for 16 to take and have been experimenting since. I dropped another 8. I did a 2 hr bleach solution wash in preparation. Washed them with distilled and dried. Into h202 and Cnut soak. Replaced solution on day 2 with more Cnut leaving out the h2o2. Day 6 soak 7/8 had cracked. Transfer to paper towel and on heat. They will crack but not enough energy to shed and root. Mixed a nutrient solution of Cnut, Karo and FAA. Then transferred to new towel. Taps began to emerge finally. They were small with little chances. Removed the shells with scalpel and dripped solution directly then back on heat. Following night had some decent enough taps to attempt planting on all but one. A few had J’d on me and without shells it was challenging. The germs are all white but still alive. If this doesn’t work maybe I should attempt to transfer to agar plates instead of soil. Think I have another 30’ish of that strain.
Putting the work in
Good luck buddy
Subcool put in the work; I’m only putting in some effort.
Have you tried fine grit sandpaper on the seed husk/shell?
Standard protocol for old stock. Scuffed them the first two rounds before moving to peroxide coconut soak previously. This time I decided to avoid any contamination risks to the germ and did the bleach sterilization. Worked in a glove box throughout this process as well.
Edit: Forgot on the TP that I added some Bacillus Subtilis
“Sterility removes all microbial competition, so there’s no damping off, no rot, and no wasted metabolic energy fighting off pathogens.”
Cnut ie “Cytokinins and auxins help stimulate cell division and elongation, pushing development even if endogenous hormone levels have degraded.”
Karo ie Sugars act as an immediate energy source, bypassing any reliance on depleted endosperm reserves.
Sending sprout vibes your way Brother
Thats a lot of knowledge right there @Budbrother
Got that book marked for a reference
When i want to get some older seeds going
Had a lot of old seeds that i just couldn’t get going our last spring

Ill stagger my seed drop next time
Hope they pull through for you
