First off thank you for being such a great community y’all.
@noddykitty1 because of lines and space I’m unable to plant trees. Wove the fence line with Jasmine years ago. Gonna have to start nursery baggin up more hibiscus branches to make a hedge row down that side. A few seasons and I’ll have a 12’ fence of flowers 9 mos a year.
@big123 Just got a new 50’ shade cloth to build a cover for my cacti and succulents that were on that side. The owl box is a no go with my chickens. There wasn’t an issue due to swooping clearance with other tree but now… I heard the owls last evening close by. Mating season began end of November, so they lost their clutch. They got loud mating I wanna say 18’ish December.
@chris998760 the power company came and cleared the lines back there. This embolden them asses to step up the clearance. They’ve been doing here and there after my last explosion of anger for one particular guy getting board and walking around the hood cutting down trees and branches. He worked for the fire department, so I called his boss to report the unsafe fire hazards and rodent/health safety concerns he was creating. After a short walk around a crew was sent to clear all of the piles. Now he’s a home mechanic.
@Blackmoon people are assholes and go out of their way sometimes to show it. To them, I’m the tree hugger hippy asshole that’s always been here and keeps to himself.
We can’t explain anything to most people… You wouldn’t believe how much RoundUp they use out here! Gavin and his “Green Agenda”… 6 foot off every single road out here (even in the country) are sprayed with RoundUp. And each year, the line gets taller. They spray a few inches past the old spray so what used to be 3 foot now is 6-8 foot.
We have many neighbors that poison their entire yard so they don’t have to weed eat. they spray down every fence line. Our fish have tumors and we haven’t had much in the way of fruits or veggies along the one side of our property that they neighbor sprays a LOT.
Actually contemplating digging the trees up and planting new ones somewhere else.
And they have the nerve to make us jump through hops for all these “Environmental Impact Studies” before you can build anything around her… yes, they wanted one done just so we could do some grading on our own property
I have countless customers that can’t wrap their head around the idea of pulling weeds and digging up brush and suckers. I will have nothing to do with glyphosate or copper sulfate anymore. Fortunately, we had a good enough relationship with most of them that they were willing to take my word for it and pay the extra labor cost.
We have the opposite problem with the forest here. Everyone loves their trees so much that I still can’t convince most of them that thinning is necessary for the health of the forest. If I say fire enough times in the sentence they might let me cut some of the dead ones, but forget thinning for water usage and protection against bark beetle and blue stain fungus.
Absolutely, I don’t use it because it’s bad for my health as the guy who has to handle and apply it. I don’t like poisoning my self. The HOA’s farms and road dept are going to poison the earth and the critters no matter what I do.
As many as appear to be trying to fight the good fight, the majority are using roundup ready crops and spraying while crops are up. Been watched it every season since 2009. It gets so bad at certain points we can’t even work.
I’m one blazed mofo. Steady smokn dancing and singin. Ffs I was just standing staring into the fridge looking for more papers. That’s never wher those are dumb
I wonder how many them chicks met him “in the blue bus around back”
We couldn’t get the town to tell us where to co.plain or even who did up the work order lol , they also hit us with every unsightly property warnig they could come up with. We were the first property on the street to have to remove the hurricane debris in the spring , all because they didn’t like the smell around my property oi. Its all fixed up now no more issues since
Must have missed those, I’m was 44 minutes in and didn’t hear any commercials. I can link my phone to my TV sound bar and play in the back ground while I’m doing some plant maintenance
