So you say you run 14-17 hrs is that in the drying stage or total run time with freezing process. Have you kept the same setting since you made this post? I just did my first run last night to today and it’s solid but always happy to improve

17 hours or so, sometimes longer. Iv noticed it works much better if it’s a full load.

Tell me more! How did your experience go? Have you smoked any yet?

Well I didn’t do any added dry time so my machine tried to shut off way early so I ended up adding more time to get about 17 hrs out of it. The buds came out nice little crispy on the outside I thought at first. I tried it right away of course. Smoked solid good taste nice smell so success. However I grove bagged it up and then checked on it today and felt like the humidity was a little high and the buds no longer had any crispyness maybe felt a little moist now. I threw in a beveda pack 62% in each bag to hope it doesn’t have any issues. Maybe shoulda dried longer?

You’re not alone. Iv done that multiple times. Iv found if I don’t load enough into the machine it didn’t sense enough moisture and shuts down before it should.

Don’t be afraid to add extra dry time,
This is probably the only instance where over drying the bud won’t harm it.

Add the moisture back to your liking and grove them up for a week or so, they will come alive.

Right on yeah I figured there’d definitely be a learning curve to this but for a first run I’m pretty happy. How have you determined weather it’s done or not when it’s cold when it comes out

Have you ever ran product twice. So today I notice my buds are much more moist and I have higher humidity in my grove bags even with a boveda packet in there. Curious if I should let them ride or throw them in for another rip in the machine

Iv definitely ran them twice because it wasn’t dried enough the first time.

No harm.

How did you make out? What was the final result?

I’ve done like 3 runs now through it and so far so good. So far I’ve felt the freeze dried stuff is hard to stay lit so I’m hoping that gets better as it cures longer. I was also a little past where I wanted to be drying but they came right back with a boveda pack the look is amazing tho

What firmware did you use to switch to pharmaceutical mode?

I will have to look and see which firmware they sent me.

I decided to cure the old fashion way. I ended up with way more than I anticipated so the freeze dryer would have taken a long time to process it all. I did some test but without changing the firmware it was … meh… so so.

Whatever the latest version for the pharma unit is should be the ticket.

Please let me know. Right now I’m experimenting on one plant with a brand new Medium HomPro model. I set it down to -20 and set it to dry at 40° for 17hr. It ended up hitting almost -40 anyways. I’m just concerned i can’t set the moisture level down to 12% like you did. I can send you my email or if you can post/dm it here that would be a life saver.
