Hi @Tirod, welcome to ILGM

Foxfarm has enough nutes in it to last about a month in a half or two months

From what I have read on new FFOF soil I’d wait to add any nutrients for the first month. Only way I would change that is if the plant is showing problems due to say not enough nitrogen for example.

As someone that uses FFOF, you are correct, some strains are hungrier than others and can handle the nutes earlier, others don’t like any nutes period or very little. I experiment to the extreme, topping, defol, etc. yes it might hurt yield, but I want to know how far I can push

CalMag is a must, especially with leds and in flower

I also only use FFOF. And I’ve shown a few photos of how crazy my plants can get. I don’t do nothing special like pH, Cal-mg, domes or anything else.

Just filtered tap water and my 6 different FF Nutrients.

I just use tiger bloom, I push it, the leaves tell me when to stop  also depends on strain, critical plus auto can handle full strength after one month old and has been flowing for 5 days, auto destroyer started out with 1/4 tsp and was fussy with that. Northern lights auto was in between those 2.

Cannabis is awesome to grow, such a diversity with genetics.

Welcome to the forum. I dont have any experience with ffof, but there are plenty of people here that do. Good luck with your grow.

I’m never gonna change from FF soil. I know how to use it so I don’t have any problems with it. I’ve never had insects in the soil. I’ll probably be tossing the FFOF I’ve had for 1 1/2 years due to my Toilet Bowl Seeds.

Typically you won’t have to add nutrients for 4-6 weeks in FFOF

Would anyone know of any equivalent products/brands to FoxfarmOF that may exist in Australia?? Not easy to get here.

I have tried growing Jack Herer in a potting mix suitable for tomato seedlings & they never made it past seedling stage - went yellow & died.

You can try the miracle gro organics (yellow and black bag ) its supposed to feed for up to 3 months. Maybe that will help you a little. I also know kind soil will for sure feed autos from start to finish. I’ve used it 3 times and worked very well all the way thru . Some plants will really devour the nutes in last 2 weeks and you may have to give a tad touch of pk or calmag but that’s normal in flower. Hope this helps you .

I currently have 4.5 cubic ft of ocean forest and some strawberry fields and happy frog I love it

You may need to feed sooner if you have a lot of light.

I do the same thing even though it my first grow I’ve topped ive pruned like crazy I’ve topped on accident I’ve overstressed branches and I over nuted and I’m still having an amazing time and grow and have plenty of beans to play with so I have no fear I just try everything I read to see for myself what works best for my plants in my environment but if you have limited seeds and can’t afford mishaps then I wouldnt do anything besides LST and leaf tucking and easy on the nutes!!!

TY @MattyBear …thanks to the ilgm team, you in particular I have found through trial and error that ffof needs very little nutes for a while. I started with feed schedule and had issues for first 4 weeks. Didn’t use any for 2 months and doing good with just pH water, calmag and molasses. Maybe occasional open sesame.

It is true what they say…it all depends on the strain. I five different strains. Some had issues and some thrived on little to none on nutes.

All I can tell you is with my White Widow Autos they thrived in the soil but I did flush it a few times before I planted seeds and I didn’t use nutes until 5th node beside CalMag pHd dechlorinated tap water
