Fox farm happy frog

Starting a new grow and considering fox farm happy frog and net pots . I have a gorilla 4x4 with LED lighting. I have not used fox farm products before and just looking for feed back. I will be growing gg auto.

I hear good things from soil growers about Happy Frog. Orscheln Farm & Home has started to carry it here in the midwest/central states. Its about 17 for the large bag from them.

I don’t use FF, but often see issues with folks getting nutrient burn on seedlings from it. A lot of info and if you search on it you’ll see this comes up pretty often. I use General Hydroponics Flora series and love it!

Net pots may struggle to keep your medium contained.

i can taste the FF that the people around here use to grow when i buy theirs. just make sure you flush well as i can taste the ff in the smoke. people on here have said that is because they didn’t flush it good at end but it has a distinct taste.

Not exactly. There is one specific soil that is too nutrient-rich for seedlings - Fox Farms Ocean Forest. They make a soil specifically for seedlings, called Light Warrior. Then, the “in between” soil is Happy Frog. This is how I use all 3, with excellent results:
