Personally, I like Happy frog soil. I don’t like the pH and the preloaded nutrients. I get the soil so cheap $23 for the 2 cubic foot bag. I then flush off the entire pre-charged nutrients down to 400 PPM and start fresh with my own nutrients (advanced nutrients) and I never have an issue with anything.
If I were to take that same $23 and try to buy a two cubic foot bag of anything I couldn’t. This makes it both affordable and I can take control of the nutrients from the beginning.
I guess I’m lazy but I’ve only ph’d my tap water once and have never tested ppm or anything else for that matter and haven’t had any issues, knock on wood.

I have used Ocean Forest and Happy Frog exclusively for many years. Problem is, when growing cannabis in these soils, they will germ and sprout nicely, but every one of my 75 plants died before hitting 8 weeks of age. I’ve been at this for two years and I am still trying to figure out how to keep my cannabis plants alive.
How do you keep your cannabis alive past six weeks in Happy Frog? All 75 of my plants have died before hitting 8 weeks.
