I’m afraid I screwed up… I finally got to move my 4x4 to inside the house. It took a while to get everything all set up, but I’m really pumped about being able to grow inside. I was seriously trying to avoid it because of them smell.
Anyway, a while ago I bought a set of the 4 bar lights that AC infinity sells to go with my 400 watt ACI light. I put them in the tent and liked them for what they are - a 50 watt light.
At some point, after I got everything all set up, I tripple checked everything and left the room. That was Sunday. Today, I noticed that, while I set up the bar lights in the app, I forgot to plug them into the controller. So, my girls have had two full days of 12 hours of 450 watt lights and 12 hours of 50 watt lights.
The plants are Photos that started flower 4/20.
Is there any chance they won’t hermie? Or, is it early enough in flower to not bother them too bad?
Just trying to figure out what to expect… I’m really disappointed that I missed that.
Hard to say what will happen. I assume you meant 12 extra hours of light beyond the 12 of the bigger lights. So it actually had 24 hrs. of light for 2 days. ???
Might get some wonky growth for a while, but may not herm. I feel herming is more genetic than stress. All you can do is set to 12/12 and see what happens.
I don’t think I explained that very well. I flipped to flower 4/14/24. So, I consider when I first really saw the stretch the start of flower - 4/20/24.
They are currently set to 12/12. What happened two nights in a row is that my big light went off when it was suppoed to, but my small 50 watt bar lights stayed on. Basically, A huge light leak for two days.
I don’t know if the little 50 watt lights would have been bright enough for the plant to think it was 24 hour light or if it thought it was a light leak and would hermie.
Yea thats more than enough light interruption to cause a problem for sure. I wouldn’t freak out tho because theres nothing you can do…theres also no guarantee the stress will cause hermies. Make sure you get ur schedule dialed tho
