I was in week 7 of flower when I realized my grow light was still in the vegetative stage (blue light)
I just flipped them to Flower (Red light)
I’m wondering should I add more nutrients?
I also am wondering if I should let them go longer than the 10 weeks, trichomes are clear and some cloudy hardly any are ambered.
Would load pictures up but it’s taking to long, the plants look great tho.
What light do you have and in what size grow space? Most of the light with blue/red switches will do the best with both on, I would just like to have an idea of what you’re working with before I suggest doing so.
I also wouldn’t change fertilizer based on type of light provided. If you are in first week of 12/12 I would just follow the recommended schedule for what you have.
7th week of 12/12 just wrong spectrum.
Lights are 3 Vivosun 6450w 15ft by 17ft room
This?
Yes 3 of those
If they have the function might as well run the flowering setting
I believe @dbrn32 was inquiring to rule out if it was an old school blurple.
Absolutely correct, thanks!
Oh yeah no it’s all done by the smart hub, I changed the schedule to 12/12 but didn’t switch the light from vegetative mode right then that the light has and I was in week 7 of bloom when I noticed and actually put it in
It’s all good buddy, most people run full spectrum. If it’s in the app and you aren’t sacrificing power run it! Pretty cool feature. It’s not going to be a game changer either way. The ppfd is more important. But color can “direct” the plant better. If that makes sense.
Okay I was just checking, wasn’t seeing buds get big big they still got to a good size but leaves were still growing to.
My other question is how long should they go past the 10 weeks I flipped them at 7 into the flower mode and am on the 10th week, I feel like some buds have swelled a little bit more just not hardly seeing amber trichomes at all. Wish I could send pics but I get stuck in the processing prompt when trying to post them![]()

Strain/pheno/environment will have the biggest impact on plant development. Color can help though.
I’m a little confused on the wording.
Typically after you flip to 12/12 you have 2 weeks of transition, still basically veg. When the pistils cluster up for the first time that should signify your start to flower and you start your flower clock. From this point you can expect them to take 8-10 weeks, some earlier at around 7 weeks, some can go 10+ weeks.
Lots of people check trichomes using a magnifier, and start checking once pistils have receded and or are mostly red/amber/brown. A good indicator of maturity without checking trichomes is that all the pistils recede and kind of hug the bud, depending on structure calyx can also look more plump/dense and mature. The pistils receding does not always do the trick however, there are some funky strains out there that will shoot pistils til the end.
As for pics, if internet is slow, upload 1 at a time into the box you type in. After it loads do it again, and so on.
Very nice- home stretch!
Looking nice and frosty!! ![]()
