Those would be sex pistils. She is going to be in full flower soon. Autos typically start flower between 4 and 7 weeks. They can take up to 11, I have one that started showing pistils at 13 days.
Very interesting I’m a little confused about Auto’s myself, I thought that growing outside the length of the day’s determined the time it started to Flower
Nope, not autos. Photoperiods need light schedule changes to initiate flower, but autoflowers will go when they want to. If inside, most growers keep them on an 18/6 schedule through the whole life cycle. More light=more photosynthesis= more production. Photoperiods have to be put on 12/12 to start flowering and stay there til done.
Thanks. We’ll now I’m confused on the fert schedule. I bought the Bergmans and you use different mixes for each of the cycles. Am I in Veg, or did we just jump to flower? I would assume veg for at least another couple of weeks.
How would you know?
I appreciate the information, very interesting, always learning something new on here, this Forum has a wealth of information on it, one question about the Leggy plants is it because of lack of sunlight i had some that become leggy before but was able to grow them, I just planted them deeper
Sorry crashed hard last night. I’m not familiar with Bergman’s nutes, so I can’t really say much on it. Sorry for that. You will be in full flower soon, so I would give one more feed of veg cycle, then next feed try the flower nutes at ½-¾ strength.
As for leggy plants, it’s most likely stretching for light. She’s going in to flower, so she can take a good few solid hours of direct sun daily. I try to give mine about 4 hours direct, then a couple hours of shade, then a few more direct. I’m in a very hot region, so direct sun for 10-12 hours a day is just too much.
It’s very Hot here also I have to Gurellia grow so I look for a little shade too , I have better luck growing Sativa Strains than Indica they seem to take the elements better and not as likely to have Bud Rot
My Blue Dream autos showed pre-flower by their 3rd week of indoor grow, and by 4th week in full flower. They’re now in week 9, and week 6 of flower. I think you’ll be very happy…
Autoflowering cannabis is like many other vegetable garden plants. Tomatoes, corn, bush beans are all day neutral plants. Meaning, they do not depend on day length to flower
I cut a piece of rot off of a GSCE yesterday. Indica dominant. I have a sativa dominant going that is budding absolutely beautifully.
I planted the ILGM outdoor door mix , and it was a Auto, everything seemed to start flowering right on time around August into late September I couldn’t really tell a difference versus feminized, plant’s were huge with nice Buds the Super Skunk and Kush finished first with the Haze taking a Bit longer
I have some good looking GSC plant’s growing hopefully I can survive the dreaded Bud Rot, gotta keep close eyes on them we definitely know how fast Bud Rot can occur during flowering
Reading that you should wait for a few more branches before LST. Think I could go ahead bend since its this leggy? Maybe ill try it on one.
That is one of the benefits of autos. I would not attempt to grow photos where I live. The remaining amount of the growing season is to short once they start flowering. And once they do start to flower the sun’s intensity is waning so bud quality is diminished.
I agree with you, my grow season starts in April and can go to late September if needed, we usually get our first Frost in the middle of October, but once the temperatures start cooling at night it’s pretty much finished, I’m looking at Trichomes by then
Yeah I know a few people that grow photos near me outdoors but I’m the same with frost early to mid October it’s not worth having to chop early to me, I decided to grow autos indoors for now, and yea all 6 of my plants (3 autos strains) all showed sex by 3 weeks and we’re flowering by week 4 but they blew up from the point they showed flowers. Autos are great for short growing seasons or smaller indoor spaces I may switch to photos down the road but I am enjoying the quick flowering cycle and having my plants stay 2-3 feet tall at most especially indoors makes it easy to move the plants around to LST and defoliate and water etc. everything has its ups and downs ofc but it’s awesome it’s an option
