Those look like 5 gallon buckets you are using for pots? What is the drainage situation on them - are there a bunch of holes drilled or something?

Yes they are 5 gallon bucket and I outlined them with aluminum foil and poked the holes on the bottom and the sizes. And yes I’m using them for pots

Can you show me what one looks like please

An EC meter?

EC meter on the left, pH meter on the right.

Here’s a conversion chart, too:

It all starts with EC, then you use whichever conversion factor is needed. Different parts of the world use different conversion factors. So do various nute companies.

@H146 - I have some thoughts on your grow from your pics and welcome @blackthumbbetty 's opinion too…

It looks to me that you have soil in about one half of the bucket, about 2.5 gallons of soil. This is a little under the minimum you need for an adult plant (about 3 gallons). Also, when those grow and the roots fills out, it may be kinda a pain in the butt to transplant those to something bigger at that time out of that container. Those plants look pretty established and, my humble opinion of one, now is the time to transplant them to something bigger once you get you pH meter and straighten out your watering situation. A 5-gallon is a good container size for a indoor plant, so you can still use those gallon containers. Just fill them up to the top with soil and transplant those plants in. Also, to promote drainage, if you don’t have it, a layer of crushed stone on the bottom with a piece of fabric separating the stone from the soil will make sure you have good drainage. Alternatively, there are nice fabric pots on Amazon that you get get in just a few days that drain really well with soil in them. I use them an prop them on egg crates so excess water flows right through.

Line the three buckets in one row and align the lamp in parallel across. I think this will maximize the amount of light each plant gets. In your pic above it looks like one plant isn’t getting the full view of the lamp, kinda like it is in the shade.

Don’t worry about using the tin foil. Your tent has reflective material on it and, once those plants are above the walls of the buckets and with your plants right under the lamp, they are getting what they need for this stage of their lifecycle.

Ty. So I would need them both and about how much and from where. Again thank you so much for taking out the time to help me because I don’t no shit lol

I didn’t Realize this message I’m still new to this. So you saying that since I have them in a 5 gallon bucket half filled with dirt That I should take them out fill the bucket with dirt and put them back in???

New light

Yes, I recommend transplanting.

But first, you should get the pH and TDS meters. You will stress the plants by transplanting them (a necessary evil), and you want them to have the right pH available so they have access to nutrients while they go through that stressful period.

If you use the same buckets, just make sure they have some drainage stones at the bottom an perhaps some fabric between the stones and the soil. Otherwise, the soil may clog up the holes in the bottom of your bucket and you will get overwatered soil at the bottom of your bucket, which will lead to later problems…

PH n PPM Meter sets are $20 online check the major online sources.

I was told that the cheap ph meters are not good. Can you Recommend me a good one

Ok I will Transplant them when I know what pH meter to get

Just lift your plants a little so your branches aren’t gonna be shooting into the walls of the bucket …where u are are u in well water … cuz I’m in fox farmcean forest with 0 issue but I’m in South Florida with completely diff water supply so u gotta figure out ur pH a quixk fix or diagnosis for 5 bucks got to home depot they got a broad reading pH reagent kit for soil

that’s the pH of fox farm strawberry berry field which I used this tie for flower dirt
