Flowering gone from bad to worse

So here’s the pics. After trying to supplement with teas and fish poop she looks worse every time I unzip the tent. Colas don’t seem to be getting any fatter. She’s stretching but I think it’s not related to positive growth. The leaves have gone from looking like a potassium deficiency with yellowing and burnt edges to having a strange grayish purple tinge. For the past 3 days I’ve watered her with 6.5 and 6.3 pH clean water. PPM going in was always in the 300 neighborhood and coming out was between 1700 and 1100. Trichomes are still mostly clear and about half cloudy. She seems to be crashing and burning before her time. Since I figure I can’t make it any worse I’m just going to give a regular feeding of regular nutrients with a dose of calmag. None of these other websites or illustrated deficiency drawings seem to lend any clue as to what’s going on. No pests and no cold weather. She’s maintained a study 72° to 82° and between 44 to 54% humidity. Yesterday I gave her a 1 l clean water flush and the water came out nearly urine colored. The day before that it was like a brown color which I assume was the last of the molasses tea leaching out.

She is getting her colours in theres nothing to worry about she is letting u know that her life cycle is coming to a end this is normal and cold snaps will make it change colour aswell .here are pics of buds from my GSCA u will see the same colours

You are such a life saver!! Are you sure!?!? I mean my pics do look like your pics. Is it weird that I’m really sad that she’s coming to the end? :sob:

I wish with all of my heart that I could have gotten better results with the clones I took because none made it. I’m all nostalgic and shit and wanted to keep her around in some form because she is my first ever.

I just lightly fed her some calmag and nutes and hope she’s getting what she needs in her twilight hours LOL

I see a few trichomes turning amber. Do I wait until the whole trichome turns cloudy white or just the heads?

I am deeply in debt to everyone who’s guided me thru this first journey. I know everyone has their reasons for growing and consuming and I just want to say how wonderful y’all are.

You have nothing to worry about i am absolutely sure it’s just colours coming through

What strain is it ur plant u can always go back in to the seed bank where you got them from and look about ur strain u have to see what it says about it

GG4. I got her from a friend as a clone. So instead of having a true clone off of her, I’ll just probably always have a GG4 growing. I can’t believe how well shes done after all the abuse a n00b such as myself has put her thru.

So typically the stalk will change and work its way up into the head of trichomes cloudy and amber and purple!
I bet seeing them dark leaf colors coming in, you got a good chance of seeing some purple trichomes and maybe buds :star_struck:.

You definitely want all cloudy trichomes focusing on the heads, and if you want a strong lay down buzz then you want to push them past cloudy until they start turning amber more then just cloudy…

But do not even worry about trichomes untill most if not all the white hairs have began to darken and cure up. Then start watching trichomes.
You should also be aware that most times the white haurs come in spurts. A bunch pop out then as they turn dark another bunch will pop out. This is what we call “stacking up”.
It can happen 3-4 times with some stains…

I hope some of that makes sense
Happy growing my freind

Just saw this after i posted.
But this is absolutely normal with GG. Nothing to worry about :+1:

If you have a look on the internet at gg4 you will be able to find out more

@1HappyPappy there will be more white hairs?!? :exploding_head:

That’s these things, right? What color do they turn when they cure? Are those the ones that turn the coveted “red hair”?

Correct, some sort of red shade all the way to brown.
But yeah they will swell up with each new “spurt” of white hairs.

The hairs stick out of the calyx, the calyx is literally the tiny single flower bud, as it grows the calyx keep stacking and bunching up makeing the “nugs” fater and hopefully denser each time. Usely a few times.

You can see if that picture some are just starting to turn redish…

Yes ok thank you. I noticed that like a week ago. But I thought they were something different. Then a few days later there were more hairs but I thought the original ones just got more noticeable.

Sorry to keep asking questions so late into a Sunday night but does this look like foxtailing? The bud on the right is the biggest of all of the colas but the one on the left is what the rest look like.

I don’t see any foxtails. They really look good actually…

Ok so what’s ur feed schedule how often and what’s the numbers going in. Appears to be hungry to me how far along is she. How many weeks in flower?? I bet a good feed will help her out it won’t change any bad leaves but might help from getting worse.

She’s on week 6 of flower. I was feeding Advanced Nutrients pH perfect micro bloom grow three parter solution about every 4-5 days with calmag every 2nd feeding. I’m in soil and have been pH’ing between 6.3-6.5. I only stopped feeding a little over a week ago and fed a molasses banana tea for what seemed like a potassium deficiency.

I’ll also say every day that I open the tent for the past week, she’s packed on at least 20% more sugar on those leaves than the day before.

When you say 6th week of flower, when did you start counting?
Light change?
First pistils?
Or cotton tails have formed?

1100 runoff ppm is really low at this stage. Loose the teas and go back to AN prescribed schedule. You are paying a lot of $$ for Advanced Nutrients’ expertise and technology. Use it.

I started counting at light change because I didn’t know what the signs of flower looked like and it was an easier milestone at the time.

If I’m feeding in at 850-1000, what should I be looking for out? Highest I saw was 1760.

I also start counting flower phase at light change.
These photos are 14 days after switching to 12/12. I used this date to identify the start of “flowering”.
Flowers are just starting to form cotton balls, buttons what ever you want to call them.

When in soil I ended up paying more attention to runoff pH than to ppms. The exception was when my pen exceeded its upper range which is 4000. I would then reduce intake ppm and over water to create more than usual runoff. Although I have used Advanced Nutrients I did not use the pH perfect base nutrients. I can not say my method therefore applies to pH perfect. I suspect that it does. If my runoff pH dropped more than .5 I would follow the same procedure I described above. I call it mini flushing. Feed reduced ppm at correct pH more than usual to create more runoff and washout excess nutrients.
Also a little variation in intake pH helps with nutrient uptake.
Soil runoff ppm of 1760 would not be a concern to me. I am now using coco and Jack’s. My runoff numbers are consistently over 1300. Often over 1700 while the intake ppm is 1000±. However, the pH is in range for coco. If I start pushing 2000+ ppm, I address it.
I liked this article - it put it in terms I could understand and apply

I also liked this video. It has been a while since I watched
