Florida Grow in the sand

I have only done Maui Waui …But I like the smoke…not harsh or skunky and it sends you to the Islands…I have learned that to grow outside I use the felt bags, Fox Farm Soil,FFarm Nutes…Bury the pot in soil.(Florida sand).it will drain well but the soil and bag will still retain nutes and moisture…Be careful the sun and heat can be brutal ,location is important

Thanks for the great advice and the recommendations!

Thanks for the advice and recommendations. Much appreciated!

Thanks for the recommendations. I’ve tried worm composting for general gardening , but I seemed to attract more roaches than anything else.

BRO…I HATE roaches… I’d burn my room down in a second to kill them if infested… LMAO I know right – as much as I love my girls, - torch it I would… i hate them, scared like a little girl running… I’m in maintenance in Florida to go figure…

Use garbage bags. Cheaper and easier to get where you want them. Bags are good on top but need grass all around to keep cool or heat kills all the good guys inside.

Fish in Bear habitat means nothing but holes by June.

Yes have done this multiple times. Find it is just as effective without bucket. Easier to amend for next time and can put multiple holes time after time close to each other. Kinda creating an underground bed for roots

Hey Stoney, fellow Floridian here, jrb219,. same as you I used to grow in same spots. from NY, good soil. I’m looking for some strians, (feminized) Sativa dominant w high yield and Thc content that can take the heat and humidity here. On the East Coast, (central) thanks, jrb

Thank you this brought a lot of clarity. I’m a beginner as I’m a single mom trying to learn the ropes and not have to spend so much on bud and just supply myself lol.

I started a few weeks late…Right now I am germinating them. They just started to break out with their stems so I’m going to be moving them to a 5gal plant bag and fill with FF soil & I got the FF fertilizer pack. Location is very south FL, my yard is a complete sand pit once you start digging. So I’m assuming by what u said it will be ok to bury the bag in the ground. It’s ending of April rn, any tips for sun exposure or what I should do at night once I move it outside?

Should be able to help out…First thing is…I suggest be careful with the fertilizer and soil combo,I had a bad experience and burnt a grow. I start mine inside and then transfer to pots after they get 4 sets of leaves. Then set them outside in a partial shaded area to adjust the plants. Then pic location, I use a partial sun area as we get enough sun here. Plant containers and leave lip of container about 2" above ground level. Water as needed. Start fertilizing at half recommended rate. I mix my plants in with flowers and shrubs. We have a native daisy that can grow big,can clip back to hide plants.
