Flavor booster with banana peals

Experimenting with compost tea. Using trim and water. Wait 10 days. Stinky juice is good to go. THEN, I added a couple of banana peals. Before banana, not a lot of flavor. AFTER banana. wow freaking wow. THAT’s the flavors I’m looking for. Try it. Tell me your results.

Can you please elaborate on your technique and the result?

@Not2SureYet did this some time back: you have to be careful as it’s a big jolt of K which can burn the plants.

I throw the trim into a bucket and add water. In 10 days or so, it will start to stink. That’s when it’s good for feeding. It’s organic but you still have to watch PH. I added a banana peel or two. I keep adding trim as I get it. I replace the water each feeding. It’s good to let it perk until the next feeding. I’ve been adding Gia Green and CalMag in the tea. Base is spent Ocean Forest w/recharge and Gia Green to start.
I just taste tested it. Sweetest flavor I’ve experienced since Hawaii in the 70s. I’m pointing to the banana.

Did you get good results? It doesn’t sound like you are still doing it.

Thanks @Myfriendis410 I used the banana peel and water. I found for me. I had to keep it diluted to 500ppm or less. When I was above that. It did start to really mess with the plants. And a few did get burnt. I don’t use that any more. but my friend that showed me this still uses it in each grow. Are you in soil or coco @fauxguy I would think soil might buffer higher levels more than coco. Just guessing there :slightly_smiling_face:
@Myfriendis410 have you done any up dates in a while? I am not seeing any thing from you or Matt

I’ve got to get some pictures and post an update. It’s been a couple of weeks.

Spent Ocean Forest. I set up with Gia Green and Recharge. Then add CalMag in the water. The tea seems to work well, so far.
