I water with distilled water if i have banna peels in the water do i have to ph up or down still?
Always a best practice to PH your feed water anytime something foreign is added
At what rate do you apply? Or should you apply?
Dont have the hang of the science part yet so no real ratios yet sorry
I don’t use any teas Growmie, your base nutrients contain enough potassium. Some great organic growers use teas… @ChittyChittyBangin can advise on this
Thank you
Happy i did i have no ph pin yet so i do it manually an man the ph was high water almost turnedvblue lbs used some baking soda to ph down didn’t know it actually worked but it definitely do i end up getting down to between 6.5 an 7.0 so i think i may be ok fingers crossed
6.5 is perfect for soil Grow Bro, range of 6.3-6.8 and they’ll love you for it
I wouldnt worry about using distilled water. Your soil should contain a buffer that will sort out ph. If you want a good compost tea, grab some worm castings and soak for 24 to 48 hours giving a good stir in between. If you wanna get really into it like i do, build yourself an airlift brewer and aerate your tea. Remember to add a tablespoon of unsulphured molasses to each gallon of water you are using. The molasses will neutralize your ph at 6.5

Dont treat me like a noob for saying this lmao but i swear after i watered them with the banana water of course the plants start smelling off way more an my droopy plant syart standing back up immediately dont know if it was the higher ph or potassium itself but im loving it wish i would’ve started this early on in the grow
Only reason i do distilled is because the quality of water out here is trash u cant even drink it an honestly that was just me playing safe im also looking forward to purchasing an ro filter it would definitely help out my pockets in the long run an who dont want an unlimited source of water but @ChittyChittyBangin im definitely gonna be following you growmie because i think i want to head toward more of an organic route ive been using the ff trio this whole time
Never my friend, this place is great for sharing tips, tricks and experiences
? Is it better to do the worm casting tea apposed to just adding the worm castings to your soil?
Topdressing with castings is fine too. The tea brewing just allows the nutes and microbe food to be readily available for consumption to whereas top dressing can take up to 2 weeks to make the nutes avail. Brewing is breaking everything down faster.
There are no such things as stupid questions here. We all started somewhere and i ask questions everyday. I dont mind aswering the same question a hundred times as long as that knowledge is put to use to grow some killer buds
No it’s not a male. Those are female parts.
Ok yea there’s a very big difference i see. Did it turn to a male during the grow or i actually wouldn’t have mind mine being a male so i can get some free seeds lol i mean do it actually work like that or naw.
No this is a full blown 100% auto male. I bought some autos seeds over Xmas that were regular ( non-feminized ) for the purposes of breeding my own eventually. That auto is a 60-77 day strain. The last female I had was small but was done in around 70 days. I think she could have went a week longer but had a tornado and ended up without power for about a week and I was only able to provide light from a flashlight so I just opted to chop at 70.
You can reverse a female to produce feminized seeds. But you wouldn’t want to do an entire plant. Only need a little pollen so I’d think to reverse a clone.
Female plants can hermie which causes “nanners” these are most often considered tainted seeds carrying the hermie trait. And most toss them. Imo it would be smart to use them for something like an sst ( sprouted seed tea ) not something I seen many use here.
