Nope! School District of Philadelphia. If you think we didn’t have to be strict there - well, sorry, we absolutely had to be. I had parents request me because I WAS strict.
I had a lot of fun with the kiddos, but brooked no nonsense.

I sure tried! I taught 3rd grade for a few years, then became a K-8 science teacher, got my middle school cert, and a Master’s in science education and taught middle school science for 16 years, a year of engineering, and finally ended my career with four years of 2nd grade.
The engineering year was crazy - 3D printing, and Rube Goldberg machines… and on and on. I helped design a maker space in the school, and the next year funds were cut and the engineering program got scrapped. Too bad.

It just occurred to me, I never lifted Slowpoke’s nursery bag to see if I have roots.
Well, I’ve got roots but I’ll be dyeing in a few days (heh).
If she’s poked out some roots, that might make me pump the brakes on dropping a new seed.

Don’t see a thing. Likely she has one, but it’s not growing enough to be seen. And I can’t see any sign of leaves at all.

If Betty is ever going to do anything, she’s going to look like your mutant. She may end up being sacrificed too - I’ll put Shirley in that tent once she gets established. She’s poking a number of roots out of her nursery bag. She’s nearly as big as Audrey and a week younger.
I’m going to have to be cruel if I’m going to raise a bunch of them, the best suited get the best treatment.
